Hello all,

Does anyone have any info on how to apply a AAA discount to an already booked Disney ressie?

I have a ressie at Pop booked through CRO for Dec 1-6 and have paid my deposit. I am holding off on paying the balance because I was waiting to see what the AP rate would be, since we will be getting APs (but not for another month or two).

Lo and behold, my BF informs me he has a AAA card and I see on Mousesavers the AAA gives a 20% discount sometimes on the value resorts during value season.

Does anyone know if this is a good rate? Does anyone know if this actually works? Would I be better off to wait for the AP rates?

For various reasons I have already paid off and canceled and rebooked this trip twice already. I am almost thinking at this point I should just leave well enough alone and pay rack rate.

What do you all think? Is it possible to get the AP rate now by telling them we'll have our AP vouchers by November (a month before our trip)

I booked our res using the AAA rate. Every little discount helps. It's definitely worth giving WDW a call. it should be no problem as long as there is availability. I am still waiting though for any other sort of discount...

As I understand it they have just so many rooms set aside for the AAA rates. Once those are gone, they're gone. I know that's how they explained it to me when I booked our AAA rates for Nov. last August 2003. About 3 weeks ago, I needed to change one day on our reservation, add one day at the beginning and take off one at the end. The reservation agent specifically said, "let me see if there are anymore rooms available at the AAA rate." It never hurts to call and ask however. I do know that you have to give your AAA # when you make the ressie and that you must show your card when you check in. I imagine that the person who's name is on the reservation is the one who has to have the AAA card in his/her name. I booked 4 rooms for my extended family under my name in order to get the AAA rate, but each family will pay separately for their own rooms and have their own charge card/room key.

Hope this helps. Call and ask, asking never hurts.
