Any word on the release of these? I have Polynesian Garden Concierge booked and would love a "little" break on the room cost. I know they're supposed to be released sometime at the end of June - we're getting to the end of June. I was just wondering if anyone had heard/read anything.

Thanks!

The general consensus is sometime between now and August...... :bored: :bored:

Last year it was early July. My e-mail from my TA that he got me the AAA rates is dated July 3.

May I join the wait??? I've heard everything from the end of June, the end of July all the way to the end of summer so who knows? It's driving me crazy  and I don't have that far to go as it is now, so I sure hope it's soon!!!

Hi scanne,
I'm new to this, just recently found out about Disboard while searching for Disney deals for our trip. Not sure if it's okay to ask this here, how much is the Polynesian Conciege room? AAA quoted Beach Club room only $3700 for 7 nights Dec 31 to Jan-7-07. The agent said price included AAA discount. That seemed so high. I got the quote yesterday, so maybe they have the 2007 discount now. The Disney website won't even quote room rate after Dec 29.
Besides AAA, where else can I look for a little discount? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

featherbrain,

Hi! :wave2: Welcome to the DIS!!!

We are booked for 9 nights at the Polynesian Garden concierge during value season 2007 and the total for the 9 nights is around $4400. We are annual passholders, so besides hoping for a AAA discount I will be hoping that in April or May, Disney releases Annual Passholder room discounts. This year I was NOT fortunate enough to get a passholder rate - the discounts seem slimmer this year. But we have gotten lots of great deals in the past with AAA and codes. We book what we want and get a discount if we can, but we also make payments towards our vacations throughout the year so that we never have to put anything on a credit card. We know that concierge is $$$, but everyone in our party decided that it is a perk we're willing to pay for.

Check these boards often as well as www.mousesavers.com.

Lots of luck in getting a great rate!

Featherbrain,

Welcome to THE DIS! The reason your quote is so high is that you are checking in during HOLIDAY season....which is the busiest and most expensive season at Disney.

Disney locks in your rate for your entire stay based on the first day that you check into the hotel. You are checking into the hotel on the last day of Holiday Season (December 31st). Here's a breakdown of the rack rates for the different seasons:

Holiday Season = $475 per night for a standard room at Beach Club
Value Season = $305 per night for a standard room at Beach Club

Holiday Season = December 20th thru December 31st
Value Season = January 1st thru February 14th

If you book Dec 31st, 2006 thru Jan 7th, 2007 on one reservation, you will lock in at the higher Holiday Season rate of $475 for all 7 nights. To get around this, you can make 2 seperate reservations. One reservation for 1 night...Dec 31st...at $475. Then, another reservation for the remaining time from Jan 1st to Jan 7th at $305 per night. Only problem with this is that you may be asked to change rooms after that first night. You can get the reservation agent to note on your first reservation that you have a continuing reservation booked for the next day. Also, let them know this upon check-in. Most of the time, you don't have to change rooms.

Hope I explained it well enough for you to understand....

Speed :teleport:

scanne and speedyf: thanks for explaining things. will call AAA again to quote 2 reservations. Didn't know Disney's rates are so complicated. The difference is $170/nt x 6 nts. I could save $1137 w/tax? WOW! hope you're right.

Oh scanne, that website is very good. Almost too embarassed to admit I spent hours on it last night. Knew I was in trouble when I fed my little one cheese & crackers for dinner. With disboards and mousesaver, I feel better about planning this trip. Thanks everyone.

I'm waiting for 2007 AAA rates too! We're hoping to go on a 4-night Disney cruise in early February and stay a few days at Disney World beforehand.

As of just now, Sunday, June 25th at 9:10am eastern time, there are no AAA rates out for 2007 yet! :surfweb:

I am also waiting for the AAA rates for my room in January.....believe me the AAA Agent I think is sick of hearing from me -- just to check in. :teeth:

:bored: Same here. I am hoping to get the AAA rate for the Poly for April 20-28, 2007. I know the Poly is a popular resort and the discounts may go pretty quickly so I am desperate to call as soon as they are released. Of course....I will then become obsessed waiting for the release of any AP rates for that time period come January or so.

I just got my registration for the Disney Marathon as my Father's Day present so I'm waiting on the AAA rates as well. Last year it was June 30th that the rates came out so hopefully next week.

We are planning on the last week of May for POR. Would you all recommend booking room only rack rate right now thru AAA and then call back to get the room only discount applied when they are released, and then call back AGAIN when the packages are released? Or should I just wait til the AAA room only discounts are released? Thanks :)

hopefully rates for AAA and disney packages wil be out in a few days. why is it the last week of waiting is always the hardest? btw, I think my AAA agent is sick of my emails asking if naything has come out, too, she probbaly thinks I'm a freak! :confused3

Please add me to that list as well. My AAA agent Danielle has been so very patient with me. I email her every week asking about the packages. She calls WDTC and emails me back "nothing yet, but I promise I'll let you know just as soon as I hear anything". I have had "room only" booked with her since the first of February so she's probably ready to choke me to death at this point!!! :rotfl: Maybe Disney will release the packages soon so Danielle can get some rest. My fingers are crossed!!!
