AAA rate vs. new summer code rates (Aug. 2007)

Quick question: my parents booked a trip to Disney in August staying at POR using their AAA membership. I told my mom about the new codes and when she called AAA she said she couldn't use those rates. Has anyone tried doing this with AAA? I'd love for them to save some extra $$

The AAA rate at the values was better than the code, i don't know how the mods compared.

I booked a myw package thru AAA for the POFQ. When the new codes came out I called my agent and she called WDW and I got a $100 credit.

How many nights? When? I did save $135 on 10 nights over AAA rate for 8/20. If you're less than 45 days out you would have to pay a $50 cancelation fee so if you're not staying too long it might not be enough savings to make it worth the $50 fee.

We're staying for 6 nights (5 day MWY hopper with dining) August 13-17.... maybe it is too close to those dates to make changes?

We are going to POR 8/6-8/15 - MYW+dining (not free dining). My AAA agent saved me $121.50. I was hoping for more, but I am still happy I was able to save something!

I called my AAA TA yesterday (AT the 45 day mark from our trip) re: the ZJZ code and she called Disney and WAS able to apply it to our MYW pkg! It saved us an additional $218 on top of the original AAA savings.... so a total of about $518 or so (Staying at the YC for 7 nights) There were no penalties for the change

I just looked at something that said save $13/night on values and $41/night on mods and $110 for saratoga springs (for a room that was 279 rack rate).

AAA savings would give $16.40/night value std, $29/night mod std, 41.85 on that saratoga room.

Our TA couldn't get the codes for our dates at the Poly so we stayed with AAA discount.

Do you know who your agent is? For some reason our agent said Disney told her that the code does not apply.
