AAA rate again - getting frustrated

I've posted on here already about a problem I 've had getting the 2009 AAA rates. For those of you who have now called and gotten them for next summer, may I ask what number you called? I've called several times, as recently as just a few minutes ago, and they tell me the AAA rates are not available yet for July 2009. Yet I see people posting that they have them. I even told the woman on the phone that I know people have already gotten these rates for next July and she told me she doesn't know how, as they're not available! What's going on?

Hi! I called (888) 464-3551. The person I spoke with didn't know that the rates were out, but she checked and found out they were. Hope this helps!

I called 1-888-464-3617, and had no problem, she knew the rates were out and adjusted the rates, and i received an email about 3 hours later confirming.

Thanks everyone. This is one of the numbers I called yesterday. I guess I'll just wait a few weeks and call back. She looked up my reservation and said she checked on AAA rates and came up with nothing. Speaking of emails, I had to call 3 times after I originally booked just to get them to send me an email confirmation of my reservation! I hope all of this trouble is not a bad omen for my vacation!!

I did some investigating for you.

For your knowledge/info, I called Sunday, September 14, 2009 at 9:25 Central Standard Time.

I called 1-888-273-1311. I talked with a lady named Terri. She said that AAA IS out for the entire year of 2009 (not just certain blocks of dates). AAA came out approx. 4 days ago. Your reservation would not be changed automatically, you'll have to call (.....I know you've already done that, but with no results) to change it.

I told her that you were a friend of a friend and that I didn't know you, but was trying to help you.

She also states that, YES, you can use AAA with your Loew's reservation at a Portofino Suite. That AAA rates ARE applicable with the Loew's card.

Thanks, that was so nice of you! I'm not sure I called that phone number yet, so maybe I'll give that one a try now. I can't understand why two different people now have told me they're not available yet for my dates. I told the woman yesterday that I knew of people staying there on the same dates who received the AAA rate, but she didn't know anything about it. So hopefully with your information, I can now get some results.

Okay, thanks to Sunshine1010 and Terri at USO, I was able to figure out what the problem was. It was all because of my check-in date of 7/15. That day only, they had no AAA rate available. Apparently, the whole resort is booked that day. She tried to change it to a one night stay on 7/15 at the regular rate and then the rest of the 6 nights at the AAA rate, but the system wouldn't allow her to do it due to the capacity on the 7/15. So I changed my whole ressie to start on 7/16, and there was the AAA rate for my entire week. I wish someone else had taken the time to explain this to me when I made my previous calls. So mystery solved, got my AAA rate. Now I just have to wait 10 months to enjoy it! Thanks again everyone.

Awesome! I'm glad it worked out for you. When I spoke to her, I didn't have your exact dates. All I knew is that you were going in March.

WHY is March 15th sold out? What's going on?
