AAA Questions

1) have the 2009 rates been released yet?
2) do they release the rates for all of 2009 or just parts because I just called and was told AAA rates for June have not come out yet

I called AAA today. The TA said that AAA rates for 2009 weren't released yet. When I asked when they would be released, she said maybe in a month. I really hope that is incorrect and they're released sooner.

AAA rates for 2009 are out now for room only ressies. Don't know if they are out for packages. Call Disney and say that you know that they are out (AAA room only ressies) and ask the CM to check again.

They've been released for all of 2009. People on this board (myself included) have been reporting booking AAA rates through WDW since 7:00 AM this morning. But we've also experienced that not all the WDW operators know that the rates are released so you either have to convince them or call back and talk to somebody else.

Got my AAA discount applied to my room only ressie this morning so yes they are out! You just have to get a CM who is in the know.

Do you have to have a current membership to BOOK the reservation or you just have to show it when you check in for your reservation?

I don't have a membership wtih AAA and and am hoping to get a code/pin or discount of some sort. If I don't get another type of discount, then I will join AAA to get that discount. So can I lock into the AAA rate NOW and then later on actually JOIN if I don't get a regular Disney discount with a pin or code, etc? (Am I making sense???)

Also...if I later add on dining and tickets, I have to have AAA do it right? So can AAA then just take over my room only res from Disney??

The agent I spoke to asked me for my AAA number. Had I not had one, not sure what she would have said.

You must have the number - they can only get the discount to go through unless there's a membership number on the reservation.

Is this new? I'm pretty sure its been commonly discussed on these boards that you can reserve an AAA room rate without a membership, then wait either for a better discount or to sign up for AAA right before your trip.
