Aaa Question About Discount

Do you have to book through AAA for a Disney room reservation or do you book through Disney and tell them you have AAA?
I am pondering joining AAA just for the room discount.
Is there a list of discounted hotels across the US for AAA?

You can apply an AAA discount to a room-only reservation through WDW. If you want a package (i.e., tickets, dining) with an AAA discounted room, you must book through AAA. Cancellation terms are identical to Disney's policies. AAA travel agents are not Disney experts (my apologies to the small minority who are!) so if their quote is identical to what you find on the WDW website, call another AAA.

I had AAA already, and booked my trip through them. You do a get a few other perks, like a special parking pass for WDW and discounts at certain stores and restaurants in WDW.
