This question has probably already been asked, but without the 'search', I am completely lost!!

What exactly is the preferreed seating thru AAA? Anyone used it before? Anything we should know (like show up at a certain time before shows, do we need our AAA card with us, etc...)?

Thanks!

Maybe things have changed for 2008 but the only preferred seating I am aware of is if you purchase a package through AAA (or WDTC or Costco) that includes vouchers for preferred seating at CA shows.

If you purchased a package through AAA, you should have a voucher with 4 tear-off tickets on the side showing shows from California Adventure. When you go to a show, say Aladdin, you just tear off the ticket and present it to the CM. Each show works a little differently I believe.
For Aladdin, arrive about 20-30 minutes early and enter under the Hyperion sign. You don't use the entrance the rest of the people do. You will enter the theatre before the rest of the people, and get to choose where you sit in the orchestra seating.
For Muppets, you present your ticket to the CM inside the theatre. There is a row reserved for preferred seating.
I don't know how the Bugs Life and Golden Dreams work, but I believe they would be similar to Muppets.
If you have Turtle Talk preferred seating, it is only good for the 10:30 showing.

You don't need to show your AAA card.

Here to help!!!

Thanks cutedisneygirly! That pretty much answers my question! Our docs aren't here yet, but I will check for those voucher things when they get here.

Also if it's not too crowded, you might not even need them! Last month we asked the CM in It's Tough To Be a Bug if we could use them, and he said if we wanted, but there would be no use since it wasn't very crowded (it was a Sunday).. And we would have better seats choosing where we wanted.. So we saved them for the next time..

For Aladdin in December, the general public entered before we did. The preferred seating people had their spots separate from where everyone else could go, but it's mentally frustrating to feel you have this special thing, but see everyone else going in first! :)
