AAA perks?

If you purchase your tickets through AAA, ask for a Diamond parking pass. It allows you to park in a special lot that is closer to the park entrance.

Note: there is no tram service to these special lots. You still have to pay for parking though.

In the case of Epcot, the Diamond lot is a great timesaver. The Diamond lot is quite close to the entrance. At MGM and the MK, the Diamond lot is quite a long walk, and it would probably be quicker to take a tram. I guess these two Diamond lots would be something to consider if you had your own stroller.

Ahh.. I gotcha..

so can we get the AAA discount and bill it to my Disney Visa?

I have also booked our june pkg with AAA and just recieved my info.....I am still wondering if the diamond card can be used more than one time for the 10% discount at World of Disney... does anyone know?

Hi All. I just signed up for AAA. I received a post card in the mail for a special offer going on. Its 52.00 for 13 months so you get one month free. They waive the 18.00 reg. fee and you get a second member for 13 months for free. So two memberships for 13 months for 52.00. It does have a special resv# you need to give them to rec. the discount. Im glad to share it as it doesnt say that its NAME SPECIFIC like the disc. codes for disney are as I received one of those too but couldnt share the pin number. Before I put the resv. code # on here for AAA I just want to make sure its ok. Dont wanna get booted off the DIS for sharing info thats not allowed. But I'd be glad to give it if its allowed. Anything to help my fellow DISers save some $$$. The great thing is ANY car that you are in is covered. Even if you are just a passenger. Gotta love that.

I believe it can. I think it's sort of like a AAA card in that you can take it and use it at different stores.

Although the best thing to do is probably to call your AAA agent ask them. :)

The diamond card is a discount card valid only during your stay at WDW. It is not a 1 time discount card, you can use it at any/all of the places on the list as many times as you like. Just remember, you have to show the card AND your resort ID to get the discount.

My TA at AAA didn't mention anything about preferred seating for any of the shows. You may want to stop by the AAA customer service center at MK and ask while you are there (and don't forget your diamond card voucher for the free drink. Note: the free drink voucher is a one-time only thing and you only get 1 voucher for each reservation, so everyone on that reservation has to go at the same time if each wants to get the drink)

So AAA saves you 10% on vacation packages (assuming your a member)? Do they have their discount all year long? Do they save you on airfare?

No...

AAA saves you between 15 and 20% on the room portion ONLY of a Disney package. You're still going to pay full price for your tickets.

The discount is available all year long, but it is subject to availability restrictions.

They MAY save you money on airfare. I've looked on AAA's website for flight information, and it always comes up more expensive. I think the air on Disney packages is purchased from the Walt Disney Travel company which is INCREDIBLY inflated.

Beckwhy, from what I understand the resorts are clamping down on using other peoples AAA cards. We book a AAA rate last year at Pop and were not required to show our id's but this year I understand they are making everybody show them.

I think if you book thru Disney and say you have AAA, they will verify. However, if you book directly thru AAA I don't think you have to show your AAA card. And, I booked my mom's reservation thru AAA and she isn't a member.

I agree, if you book through AAA you don't have to show ID. I booked my trip and MIL's room and Brother in Law and Family with my AAA membership, and we all got vouchers to show at check in. MY AAA Travel Agent said I wouldn't need my card.
