AAA or DU?

I think I have decided to let someone else book our next trip. Please tell me the pros and cons of AAA vs. DU. I know DU doesn't book air, but can you book air through AAA by itself? Is air cheaper through AAA than doing it on my own? Is there something that one of them can do that the other can't? Because at this moment I can't see a clear choice.

I want a package, and I want to be able to apply discounts! Any insight, opinions, experiences, etc. would be helpful!

I have always found better plane ticket prices on-line. This may be because I can play around with dates and sometimes airports (such as leaving on a Monday instead of Sunday.) AAA does have decent WDW discounts but the TA's are not very familiar with the different hotels and discounts (atleast at my local AAA). I have booked my April trip through DU instead of AAA becuase I am hoping for AP rates and DU will change your resverations automatically for you. On my last trip (booked through AAA), changing the resverations was a nightmare. My TA didn't know what an AP rate was and geting this rate took MANY phone call and changing my hotel (from the WL to BWI.)

Book your room and tickets through DU

AAA discounts can be applied to room ressies by DU

As for air- AAA is NOT the best at finding the cheapest airfare. I am a AAA member and I found better pricing, AAA charges a fee for booking airfare- or at least mine does.

Isn't American Air's hub in Dallas-Ft Worth? They probably have reasonable rates. Spirit Air can be very affordable too. Try booking your own air, probably save you $$

:daisy:My vote is for book your own airfare and let DU handle the resort reservations! We have used DU for our past 4 vacations and are booked through them for the next Disney trip. DU is the best!

TAs are no longer getting much commission on air so most of them have no incentive to help you get a cheaper airfare. You can generally do better on your own.

I also think DU is the way to go. They will make PS and help you get any discounts.

I have decided that airfare is what it is. Nobody, no website, nothing can seem to get any other price on airfare. $210.90 per person, round trip, direct flights both ways on American. I am quite loyal to American although I fly less than once a year. They are a local company and they are as generous as they can possibly be to a charity I am involved in, so I try to support them when I can. I will keep looking around at airfare, but for now it is the same no matter how I look at it.

I have heard lots of good things about DU. I have e-mailed them for more info. On the other hand, AAA has some neat benefits and I can watch for codes myself (especially the kind that come in the mail - Disney, are you reading this?). Back to debating...
