AAA or AP discount with a villa?

Anyone ever score an AAA discount on a DVC villa through CRO or a package? Would rather go through cro.

Ever get an AP discount on one of the villas?

Thanks wondering if these are totally impossible or a maybe?

I think there are discounts, but I think they are limited. I think only 2% of the available rooms are made available to CRO in the first place, so discounts would have to come out of that 2%.

You can probably save a ton by renting points from a DVC member. For example, a studio at OKW during value season costs $269. The average amount to rent points is $10/point, and it is only 8 points to reserve an OKW studio Sunday night-Thursday night, which is just $80!! (the number of points goes up on the weekend, but it's still less than $269!)

Yes, we have gotten AP discounts twice for DVC villas. Although we are DVC members, points for the weekend are higher so we saved the points for another trip and paid cash with an AP discount and stayed in the same villa over the weekend.
