OK, I give up. I'm totally confused. I've been reading about the AAA MYW packages and booking through Disney vs. AAA and I have some questions.

If I want to stay for 10 nights can I do it with an AAA/MYW package? I read somewhere that they really don't do 10 night packages. Is this right? If it is, would I have to book 2 packages to stay for 10 nights?

If I book through CRO I can get the AAA discount on the room and MYW tickets, but I can't add the meal plan to the tickets? You can only get the AAA room discount and MYW tickets with meal plan by booking an AAA package through AAA?

TIA for your help. I feel like ... :earseek:

That is correct. I would definitely call a AAA travel agency. It saved us $231; we were able to get the dining plan in addition to the great AAA discount (it was 20% off the room rate since it's value season when we're going)! Plus if you book a 3 night or more package with AAA in the month of January, you get 25 Disney Dollars.

Don't know all of your answers, but will answer the last one. You cant book a aAA package with disney by phone.. only a room only AAA by phone. To book an AAA package, you have to go to AAA.

now my AAA office did not offer me the 25 disney dollars like some people are reporting.

Thanks for your responses. I have another question. Suppose you want to stay for 10 nights but you don't go to the parks on your first and last days. It seems to me that it would make sense to book the 10 nights with the AAA discount and then advance order the 8-day MYW tickets with the dining option through Disney. Can you do that?

nope, to get the dining option you have to buy a "package" which includes room/tix/dining... but a MYW package thru AAA can be bought and tailored to your specifications...

i.e. 10 nights/11 days at disney, 8 day basic park tickets (upgraded to hopper for a price if you request it), and 10 days of dining... all discounted thru AAA :)

Kathy, I have the exact same situation. The only thing I have been able to come up with is to get an 8 night package with tickets and dinning plan (if you so desire) and then you will have to book additional night(s) seprately. I talked to CM and he said "it would be like 2 reservations but not really" what ever that means. I would imagine it would mean that they are done seperatly although you won't have to check out and then in again for your additional night(s).
The biggest drawback for me is the fact in order to do this we can only get a 7 day ticket rather than a 10 day. So basically we have to deside if the 10 day ticket or the meal plan is more important to us. Maybe we will get the 7 day and use our Plus options on the other days, who knows. I really liked the old way of being able to whatever whenever however mannytimes I want. Not exactly getting to have it "My Way" but in the end I do think it is less exspensive this way. I just can't wait to get there!!!!
