It says you can win a trip to DL, the grand prize includes a night in the Dream Suite at DL then 3 nights at DL hotel, four AP's and more.

The AAA event (Oct. 24th) is an exclusive evening event when you can see Carsland without all the regular crowds, get free refreshments and special entertainment.

Unfortunately (for some of us) you have to live in certain counties of CA in addition to being an AAA member. If I lived in those areas I would definitely enter the sweepstakes. Even if I didn't win the grand prize trip the odds would be pretty good to get into the special event.

It will help those who can apply.

There are ways to enter without visitng any AAA stores, you can enter via the website
just not sure what you mean by have to live in a certain county

"Open only to legal residents of California who are 18 years of age or older, are AAA members in good standing as of 6/19/12 and reside in one of the following counties: Inyo, Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Mono, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Tulare or Ventura."

Looks like its only for SoCal AAA members.

Oooh. That looks good. Just entered. I can't find any information on this event other than the sweepstakes. Does that mean the only way to attend is to win the contest? So, it will really just be about 1200 people attending?

While the main contests they are talking about have the CA county restriction on it (in the first huge chunk of small writing), there are two other contests, with different restrictions mentioned on that page.

"When you request an auto insurance quote for a new policy, you’ll automatically be entered into an additional sweepstakes with an opportunity to also win five years worth of free gas; prize awarded in the form of $15,000 cash" is:

"Open to legal residents of Texas, Hawaii and California (select California counties only) who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry".


And also, "when you swipe your AAA membership card at a participating Approved Auto Repair facility, you could instantly win a $100 service voucher from AAA to help get your car road trip ready", which is :

"Open only to legal residents of TX, NM, HI, AL and the following counties of the State of California: Inyo, Imperial, Kern, Los Angeles, Mono, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Tulare and Ventura, who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry and who are AAA members in good standing as of 5:00:00 p.m. PT on 4/19/12."
