AAA - how much did you save?

If anyone doesn't mind sharing, if you booked a package with AAA - how much did you save vs. booking thru Disney Direct? I briefly went online & saw rounded figures for 6 nights with Dining Package (don't know what level of hotel it was value or mod?) anyway, they showed adults for 707 & kids for 440? This was for non hopper passes, I assume 6 or 7 day passes & like I said included dining, that would mean: 2734 does that seem pretty accurate to Disney pricing? I read on another thread that someone who booked thru AAA didn't get their stuff until 3 weeks prior to trip, is this how Disney is also?

Thanks!
Chip

I used AAA to book my honeymoon to Disneyland in August and I saved $300. That included a 4 day hopper, a tour of LA, and 8 nights at the Grand Californian. I was pretty excited about it!

That said, I've never used them for WDW because I'm a DVC member so I don't pay cash when I stay on site.

AAA saved us about $600 on our December trip. (We stayed at the Poly for 4 nights, had the dining plan and got 10 day MYW passes.)

I have two rooms at CBR and I think we saved $400.That includes 6 day hoppers and dining.I would have to check for exact figures. It was just enough that we could go from value to moderate so we didn't actually save me anything.

I joined AAA last spring when we had a long road trip to Charleston, SC in the works. I saved a significant amount off the cost of our hotel (5 days), I believe it was close to $150 total.

Then in April, we spent 5 nights at CSR and saved the usual 15% off for Regular Season. That came to about $26/night before taxes. Another $130 saved.

I've used my AAA membership to order from Target.com. If you go thru AAA's link, you get 10% off your order. I also "show my card" anywhere that offers AAA members a discount on purchases (Payless Shoes, New York & Co., numerous restaurants).

DD turns 16 this spring and will be taking their safe driver course in the summer.

I have a trip planned for DLC this summer and I got an unbelievable AAA package at the Marriott in Anaheim. 6 nights, 2 3-day adult passes and breakfast for 2 at a total cost of $419. Rooms normally run $169/night at that hotel.

I have a concierge room reserved at the Poly for 4 nights prior to our cruise this summer. I'm hoping that DH gives in and decides that it's a good idea to arrive a few days before the cruise. AAA savings amounts to over $460.

I've used the website for numerous TripTiks and trip planning help. Thankfully, I have not need roadside assistance for even so much as an empty gas tank! (Knock, knock --that's me knocking on my wooden desk). But it's comforting to know that I have it. DD will be added to my membership when she gets her license.

I'd say that I got my money's worth out of my membership.

Thanks everyone for your honesty! It sounds like it's worth it even if to save on a Disney trip.. ::yes::
