Hoping someone can help me with this!

I originally booked through AAA at the Fairfield Inn. A few days ago I had to call Walt Disney Travel Co. (I was told to contact them not AAA as they handle the reservations) to switch our hotel and days. I was able to do that and get a room at the Candy Cane Inn no problem. I went to the AAA website earlier to see if we got the AAA rate when we changed reservations and we are paying $200 more than what AAA quoted us for the exact same days and hotel. Did I completely mess up and now we can’t get our discount?

I asked Disney Travel and they said they cannot help me! AAA is closed til tomorrow but now I’m stressing out that we’re overpaying! Thanks in advance!

Tomorrow's fix: isn't your package refundable? As long as you are just cancel & get re-booked with AAA tomorrow. If not still call AAA & see if they can do anything for you, if it's still their package they ought to have some control over it. If you're out the $200, you're out- but you're going to Disneyland so I hope you'll be able to let the stress go and enjoy your trip.

(As for what happened no personal experience but it kinda looks like your AAA package was cancelled & you were re-booked into a Disney Travel Co package? I think Disney can cancel 3rd party bookings & re-book with a Disney Co package. I once had a Disney rep tell me they couldn't make room requests because I booked 3rd party (Orbitz) but she'd really help me and cancel that and get me re-booked. OH, PLEASE! Thankfully I saw through that slimy rep said no and hung up.)

Thank you both!! I will call AAA and CCI tomorrow and see what can be done. If not I’ll just bite the bullet and enjoy the trip in April either way! And not tell my husband I messed up lol :rolleyes1

In case anyone ever comes across this issue, I did get an answer from AAA. Since I originally booked through AAA she said I did get the AAA rate even though I spoke with the Walt Disney Travel company. I looked at the CCI website today to see if it was still $200 less than what I am paying and now it is not. Very odd but works for me!

Have you compared your rate to what CCI's site is offering using the promo code "DIS"? I've never seen CCI cheaper than what its website quotes you.

Weird but I'm happy you got it settled!!
