Thanks for the heads up! Are the AAA rates usually pretty good? Im just wondering if they would be better than rates that Expedia/Travelocity offers.

AAA Rates are much better than Expedia/travelocity!
I just checked those 2 site to what I have on my AAA for my August trip....30.00 a night cheaper at the POP Century.

Mine is $76 a year...but that is because I have the PLUS option....which means if my car breaks down more thean 100 miles away from my home...they will tow it back there for FREE!

It's really worth it. Pays for itself easily.

Last year I saved about 400.00 using AAA for Pop Century (11 nights), plus you get a card for a 10% discount at World of Disney (in DTD). I did all my Souvinear shopping there.

Also if you plan on buying at World of Disney...SHIP the stuff HOME. You dont pay any Florida tax and shipping is minimal!
I also get $$$$ off my local Jiffy Lube, Dry cleaners & Perkins resturaunts!

I am getting 10% off a $2000 car repair bill. That more than pays for this years membership. Oh, plus the free towing to the garage! And I forgot the AAA guarantee when you have the work done at an AAA certified garage. I have the plus membership with an extra driver. Worth every cent!

I just called AAA... aparently they do promotions by geographic region. 10.00 off was not for mine :-(

We paid $46 in December for ours, and that was with the $10 off. We also got $50 off the cost of our Disney package in January (plus the 20% off value rates for our trip this August) AND a $25 gift card once we get to our hotel at Disney.

There are many places that AAA is accepted--hotels nationwide, local stores, etc.

Someone else said their local AAA didn't take the $10 off---but I wonder why you couldn't just sign up with ANY AAA office that currently has the $10 off? Or is that not possible?

Here's my saga about AAA
First and only time we have used it:
Got my husband AAA last year (45ish) so he breaks down about 6 miles from home and did not have his card with him. He calls me, then he calls AAA which says he has to wait at the location for a tow company to call him back w/in 15 minutes. BUT, he had to be at work, so he says can my wife wait here instead, figuring I could just drive over and wait. AAA says NO, she is not on the card, but if you pay us $10. to add her, yes, she can wait for the call from the tow company and they'll tow you home or to a garage for free.
So, we pay the $10.00.
Tow company (very professional/flatbed and all) does call w/in about 15 minutes, then says FREE TOWING is for 3 miles only and then 3.50 a mile thereafter BUT if I tow it to their garage to fix, it's free (which is also about 6 miles away).
I call AAA back and they say towing is never FREE for the first tow, just the first 3 miles for the first tow!
SO, after talking to my husband who said the repair was not major and he has no time to breathe with the work schedule, says tow it to the garage and have them fix it, AAA gas station manager says about $100.oo to fix. Well, the car gets towed and we get a call its ready, go and get the truck and the bill is $245.00! OUCH! Well, what are we to do, they said it took longer than expected...SO, we pay and leave.
Is AAA worth it???? WHO THE HECK KNOWS......I don't think the garage was any bargain but atleast if something goes wrong we used a AAA place and we can complain......And it was easy enough to get the truck taken care of by a garage rather than trying to hunt someone down....You decide!
