AAA Eliminating loose Diamond Parking Passes?

Received our travel documents from AAA yesterday and, lo and behold, AAA has changed to a booklet style package instead of individual sheets. Within the booklet is a fold-and-tear-out AAA Diamond Parking Pass with my name, reservation # and dates of our stay pre-printed on it. No more loose leaf passes. Not sure if this is being implemented at every AAA office, but I like the change. Also a nice way to keep the important documents together, not to mention cut down on the abuse of passes.

We booked our trip in Aug. with AAA and got the same thing in CT. I also think they are trying to cut out the misuse and having them for sale on ebay. The attendant in the parking lot at AK did check our pass closer than anyone has in past years.

We had the same booklet mailed to us a couple of weeks ago for our trip planned in October. We'd booked through AAA in Westchester County, New York.
The only reason why I'd booked through AAA was for the Diamond Parking Pass. I'd mentioned to the agent, at the time of booking, that I wanted to make sure that I'd get a Diamond Parking Pass because I know that it can be "based on availability". He told me "Don't worry. You will get one. I hear that they're a hot item on eBay, though!".
We used to always use Disney Transportation, but once having a car and using the Diamond Parking I will never use the Disney bus again- especially with two young children and a stroller.

Is it being eliminated or are they just providing them in the booklet for packages? Some offices give the AAA parking pass just for buying tickets. It is possible that they still have those in their offices to give to people who order tickets.

Interesting question. Since the official criteria to obtain the Diamond Parking Pass is the purchase of a Walt Disney World Vacation Package - while some offices distribute them based on only that, others to members buying just park passes, and still others to anyone who asks - it would seem AAA's intent is to phase out the individual passes completely.
