I was just curious if anyone has been to aaa disney day. If so were the discounts worth going? My travel agent said they normally have a disney special in jan., but also if you go to aaa disney day, which is sat, they throw in a few more perks. she said she would not know until sat. what it was. Just wanted to see if anyone has been in years past.
thanks so much!

We haven't been to a AAA Disney Day. Our local one is on Saturday the 14th...we'll be at Disney then! The AAA circular that came with our newspaper didn't really advertise any great deals. They offered your choice of a Mickey clock or another item (can't even remember what it was) as an incentive to book by the 31st for trips from April through December.

I'm not too happy about my experience with the AAA Storytelling Experience perk that our agent raved about. I wish we had been told about all the exclusions. This was one of our main factors in going with AAA over a couple other TA's.

I've been trying to make a reservation for the 4 of us to attend a storytelling, calling a couple times the last 2 days. The reservation clerk told me a couple days ago to keep trying. The clerk today was rather snotty to me from the getgo. I had called the appropriate number on the voucher and it had a generic message saying something about "welcome to the storytelling experience reservations" and when she answered, I said I'd like to please check on any availability for January 12th. She snidely said "FOR WHAAAT!" I had assumed she'd know what I was talking about since the number said it was for storytelling reservations and so did the message before she picked up. She then asked me if I was on the premium, platinum or MYW Dining plan. I told her MYW/Dining and she said "no, none at all." I'm wondering if they would have had space had I said we were on the platinum or premium plan?

I have found out that the storytelling is only offered on Mondays and Thursdays in the AAA VIP Lounge in the MK. I was in the lounge last year and it is rather small, but I would have at least expected to get in for a story at some point. I've been told by 2 different reservations clerks that the storybook experience is only offered at 5:10, 5:50 and 6:30. I guess by having it during the time that most people eat dinner is one way to really cut down on who can book.
