AAA Discounts

When I was calling CRO to book for Feb 13-17 (blackout dates, I know, but the ONLY time my husband can go-and I am tired of traveling with the kids by myself!)-I was only able to get good rates at Swan with my nurse's discount. However, they DID ask if I had AAA-when I said no, they went on to other things. Now I am wondering what that discount might be, and if joining AAA might be worth the money.

Any thoughts?

I don't know what AAA discount would be for February, but for my trip (May 30 - June 8), I received 10 % off. Definitely worth the money as we are staying at the CBR and Poly - the savings was about $180.00

Hope this helps.

The nurses rate is a great deal! I'd grab that if they have it for your dates! They are renovating the rooms at the Swan (done?) so ask for one of those. They look beautiful. :)

AAA is sometimes the only discount you can get, but it's not worth joining for if you can get the S/D thing. 20% is the best discount you can get, and it's only for certain types of resorts at certain times of year. We have it anyway, for the emergency road service & maps.

Still, it's great to know that CRO mentioned the AAA discount. I didn't think they were supposed to tell you anything!

Mitla96,

AAA for WDW Swan & Dolphin was married this past year to our other 50% off of Rack discounts such as "Entertainment Club"...

Your "Nurse" discount would be lower, at our Resort than the AAA rate, and both are generally open or closed on the same dates as based on rate schedule availability.

Gillian, I was so pathetic and threw so many codes at the CRO, I think she asked me about AAA to get me off the phone!:jester:

Thanks for all the replies. You all have made me feel happy with my nurse's rate and I'll put in the request for the heavenly beds 4 days out. It IS kinda fun to try the different resorts.
