AAA Discounts are out.......

for 2003. I had made ressies for 2003, paying rack rates, because no discounts for then are out yet,ugh. So, I called for AAA discounts & saved $1,466.00. BUT, hopefully AP rates will come out down the road with a 30-40% discount. Then I'll switch over.

dg39....Could you let me know which resort and what time of year you are going? We are trying to project ahead to 2004 and how much we need to save for our trip. Using 2003 as a guide will be a good gauge. What percent was the discount off rack rate? We are planning on doing exactly what you did, AAA discount and then pray for a code or AP later. One more question...in reading many of the posts about the AAA discounts it appears that when they release them it is for the entire year. Do you know if this is the case?

Hi, AAA releases there codes for the entire year. We're going July 5-18. (2) rooms in the CR Tower. Rack rate for this is $335.00 per room,per night. Was something like $9,665. I definitely don't want to pay that. But with AAA it came down to $8,500. approx. Now, hopefully, AP's or codes will come out later in the new year, I'm guessing around April or so, and give me a greater discount. We just got back, last week, same resort, & no. of rooms, but for 11 nights and with ap rates we paid 252.00 per room. Something like 40% off rack rates. Lets all hope & pray we do good this time around. The total for the rooms was $5556.00(approx), so its a big savings using a code or ap. Good luck to all of us with our future trips.

We are going July 9 -23. Will love to meet a DIS'er. We are staying at BCV, then 7/18 at the poly - got the garden concierge for 331 with AAA discount then to OKW. Hoping they still have the boat and bike plan.

I just called the 407 WDisney # and WTC answered. Is there any difference in booking with them over CRO? I am just looking for the room only and they quoted me $187 with tax for AKL. (AAA rate)

I think maybe I should call back later to get CRO.

We got our AAA discount this morning also. We got 15% at PO/FQ for May 2003. We went from $159.00 per night to $135.15 per night. Plus tax. We saved $556.00 on three rooms for seven nights. I am so happy!! Anyone else going during early May? Good Luck getting those discounts.

Thanks for the quick reply, dg39 !! That is exactly the stuff I wanted to know. If I save for the 10% AAA discount and then get a 30 or 40% AP or code discount we will be in great shape!

I got my AAA discount too! I saved 15% at the YC for Jan. 2003. Now we are hoping that as time goes by a code will come out that will give us an even better discount! Every little bit helps!
