AAA discount

Thanks for all the help.
I just booked with the AAA discount for Sept. 10-17 a premium site for 64.00 weekday and 67.00 weekend. I booked directly through Disney Central Reservations.
Booked Yesterday!!!!

Lucky you! Do you know what percentage the discount was?

After I saw your post I tried calling again but still no luck for the AAA discount on premium site while we are there in November. The guy told me if it made me feel better that it is only like a 10% discount. I know it was more than that last time I received it.

Some people may think all this effort is silly but I feel better when I can save a little money. :)

I have AAA too, and already have a package reserved for end of Oct/beg Nov.

For those of you who booked through DIsney for site only with AAA discount...what are you doing for tickets, food, etc?

Just wondering if it is more economical to do things separately since we have a good time line in front of us to check it out?

Thanks!

We add the tickets when we check in that way they can be put on our KTTK. Use to be there was a discount for purchasing tickets in advance but I don't think there is anymore.

We don't use the dinning plan because we cook some in the RV. It just doesn't make sense for the two of us.

I don't know that it is more economical. I like the cancellation policy with the site only. You do get extra things with the packages like mini-golf (although it is usually just for one person) and some other vouchers for things. It has been a few years since I have done a package so I am not 100% sure.

We get our tickets through IBM where my husband works. They have a nice discount. We usually bring all of our food and plan on Breakfast in the RV and pack sandwiches for lunch in the park, Dinner at the RV. We do atleast one character dinning and a couple counter service meals if we don't feel like heading back to the site.

We get an annual passport thru Shades of Green (savings is no tax) and a Tables in Wonderland card during our Dec thru Jan trip and then use it again the next Oct to Dec trip (each trip is about 45days at the Fort) so we get 90 days use out of the Passports (about $5/day admission) and for the $75 TIW card it saves us the gratuity and we generally spend around $1000 to $1200 dining out during each WDW visit, so the card basically saves us around $400 to $450 if we were to tip 18% on each meal. Also the TIW gives you the discount on adult beverages and is good at the TE takeout and saves us $4 on each gitty-up&go which is our first meal after we arrive at FW. Also, the Passport saves us 10% at the World of Disney and this last Dec the discount was 20%.

We too booked just a site only ressie. We are going to purchase a 10-day no expiration ticket through Undercover tourist (saves us apr. $38 over buying through Disney). It will be expensive for us this first trip but this works for us because we will plan on going to the fort 4 times over the next 2 years. We only go to the parks 1-3 days for each trip, then go to Universal or SeaWorld a day or two, and then plan on spending the rest of each vacation just enjoying the Fort. Over the 2 year period this comes out much cheaper for us than buying a 2 or 3 day hopper each time we go down. It works for us.
