Can you book the AAA discount online? I'm sure this question has been asked a million times!

Thru Disney, no.
Thru AAA website, yes. Site only no packages.

How much discount do you usually get? We are going in value season.

I'm sorry, I don't remember the exact discount. It wasn't huge but it was something. You could always just call them for a quote.

I didn't realize you could book just the site with AAA. I will have to check it out. I thought they had to be packages. I have been trying to get the AAA discount through Disney and so far nothing available except tent sites.

I just looked at the AAA site. Bad thing is they don't tell you what kind of site it is? What to do, what to do. :confused3

I originaly had to book one day at a time because of availability.
The first day, 3/28 I was able to get a AAA discount. This is thru Disney by phone, the next couple days they said there was no discount available.
They said because of the date. The next day I got another date online. No disscount.
I had trouble getting the last day 4/2. When I called again, they had the whole week available:confused3. So I cancelled the 3 seperate resies and booked the whole week. With No discount. The seperate resies where in Premiums while the full week was in Full Hook Up's.

I don't know why they have to make it so difficult. If you are a AAA member they should just give you the discount.

I didn't either and thought discounts thru AAA were for packages only and for sites only was only thru Disney.

The discount is about 20%... that's the discount I got on a cabin at the end of Aug.

The problem with booking a site through the AAA site is that you do not know what type of site you are booking (preferred, premium, etc). You can probably guess based on the price but it is nice to be sure. The AAA site just says to contact the resort for room description.

If you call Disney be sure to have your AAA number available. I was asked when I booked a couple of weeks ago

So can you call Disney after you book the site through AAA and ask them what kind of site it is? If the discount is 20% then what I am looking at should be premium. When I talked to a cm yesterday she said it is usually 15% but we all know how talking to cms work. You can ask 10 of them and get 10 different answers.

If you are going to call Disney to find out the type of site then you might as well call to book. The discount may vary by rate season... 15% during peak, 20% during value. Also, if you book through AAA and need to make changes then I believe you need to contact AAA to make the changes.

I already have a reservation. There are no AAA discounts available through Disney. I have been checking with them off and on.

whenever I have made reservations thru Disney I ask for the AAA rate. We have never booked a package, just site only. This last time I made AAA reservations and found out about the newest deal on the disney site, I called back and because we were staying longer than 6 nights we actually got a better rate than AAA. So for a Premium site in April we got 8 out of the 9 nights for $76.

I always ask when I book but have only been able to receive it once. It is a nice savings if you can get it. I think I will just keep checking with Disney every so often to see if any have opened up. They have a limited number they offer.

Maybe they will offer some other savings like you are talking about for November. :)

When I was pricing out my vacation I got a package quote from AAA, then I called Disney and asked about AAA discount on sites. They had sites at AAA rates, but it was site only.

There might be only a limited amount of sites they offer at discounted rates however, and that might be your blockage.

That is correct. They only have a limited amount available. Only thing left during our stay is for a tent site unless someone were to cancel.

Thanks for all the help.
I just booked with the AAA discount for Sept. 10-17 a premium site for 64.00 weekday and 67.00 weekend. I booked directly through Disney Central Reservations.
Booked Yesterday!!!!
