AAA discount (silly question)

I called CRO last week to try to make a reservation at AKL using my AAA discount. I didn't want to book through AAA in case better codes came out (still waiting) as I thought I might have problems applying the code. The CM I spoke to told me that he could not apply a AAA discount and that I would have to book through AAA or a travel agent and have them call CRO.

I am new here, but from what I have read it seems that others have been able to use the AAA discount with CRO. Is this correct?

I just booked a cabin at Ft. Wilderness for August through CRO at the AAA rate. I would call back - maybe that CM was new, or they don't have a AAA rate available for your dates. If you are still not getting anywhere, I would either call back again or ask to talk to a supervisor and see if they can help you.

You can book with an AAA discount directly through CRO. The CM was probably new. Depending on your dates or resort, they may be out of the discount, but I always book through CRO with the AAA discount. Then I change it if a better code comes out.

Also, I only believe the rates for 2003 are out, so if you were looking for 2004, that probably won't be available until later in the summer.

The CM may have thought you were wanting to book a AAA package. I booked a AAA "room only" discount via CRO as recently as this January.

I booked our room only package and used the AAA rate, call back and speak with another CM. Good Luck!

I had the very same thing happen to me!!
I just found Mousesavers in Jan, when I first started planning my trip. I had read there that there were about 200 new CM's that were trained to sell packages (WDTC not CRO), so I realized I had one of those CMs on the phone.
I asked for room only, and she said I still had to go through AAA. So I just called back, and got someone else who checked AAA prices for me, no problem!

I was pretty clear I wanted a "room only." My dates are for the end of July. I will try calling again.
