Ok guys I have a question for you all. I had ressies for our first night in Orlando at Pop Cenury and the other six nights at the WL. However, due to non existant room only codes (for now), I wanted to change my existing six nights from the WL to PC. I have a AAA card and was given a AAA discount on both ressies. Well, I just got off the phone with CRO and was told as first Pop Century was sold out for my time frame (Feb 7 - 14). Then after she checked a few more things, she told me she could get all seven days but with no discount at all. Could this really be true? Could all of the AAA discounts be gone? I wasn't aware that they only alotted a certain number of rooms to the AAA discount. Can anyone shed any light on this for me? Could I just call back and ask for a AAA discount for those dates and hope I speak to someone else? Any info anyone can give me would be great!!

Thanks
Sherri

Yes, that is true. With any and all discounts the number of rooms available at the discounted rate is limited.

WOW....I must say I am thrilled that PC is selling out. Not for you, but for me. :( Sorry you can't get AAA for PC for your dates.

I was hoping that with it being "new" and all, rooms would GOOOOOOO. I don't know if I am wishing for something that won't help me, but my theory is that if PC gets full, maybe they will offer some discounts for the "other" resorts to get people there.

Come on room only discounts!!!!!:bounce:

To be honest, I too am desparately hoping to see those room only codes too!! We are really wanting to stay at the WL again this time but I was affraid not to book Pop Century all week in case it was full. I am still going to cross my fingers that those codes are released soon. Room only codes for this same time frame for this past Feb weren't released until Dec 1, 2002. So, I still have a couple more weeks to fret!!

I called this weekend for AAA rates and the CM at CRO or WDW Travel was not too thrilled to look. So...I went to www.aaa.com and found the rates on their web and they were great! For Jan 28, I found $66.10/nite and for WL for the 3 nites following I found $169.15/nite standard room.

I had ressies at CBR with AAA discount and called yesterday to switch to POR. I had to take a waterview room at a higher price because that was all they had left. I was told it was still at a AAA discounted price. $132/night. This is for 2/11-2/21. They had no standard rooms left.

I'll back up what the rest have said. Yes they can run out of AAA rooms. At AKL I have a standard room rate for 12/29-12/31, then a AAA rate for 1/1-1/2.

Interstingly enough, for my first 3 nights there were no AAA but there were standard rate rooms (whic is what I have). For my last 2 nights there were no standard rate rooms but there were AAA rooms (which is what i have for those nights)!

Marklem ,

Do you mind me asking the rate from AAA for AKL Dec 31. We
are AAA members but when I use the web site I can't seem to
pull up Disney hotels. We are doing the Land & Sea Jan. 1
and staying at AKL , but we are arriving one night earlier, New
Year's eve. The rate Disney quoted for the one night was $324.
so I booked at the Swan for $200 .00 entertainment club rate.

I love the swan too but moving is a pain, if we could get the
AKL for a better price I sure would be interested.

Thanks
