AAA discount question

I am a member of the mid-Atlantic AAA. They supposedly have discounts available for Universal, but when I shopped through the site, the price was the same as buying on Universal's site (the pricing at Undercover Tourist was much better, with a $62 savings on 4 adult tickets!).

I saw online that the South AAA, which includes Florida, offers much better discounts. Is it possible for me to get that pricing if I purchase the tickets while in Orlando, or do I have to specifically be a South AAA member?

Trying to find the best deal!! Here's one from me to you: if you have an American Express rewards card and have 18,500 points, you can get a 3-day park-to-park pass FREE. We're using that to buy one of our tickets and I am jonesing to find other great deals as well. We're going over Thanksgiving!

You would need to be a member of AAA South to take advantage of their specials...not just AAA in general. However, you might want to contact a local office in FL and see what they say. I can tell you there are no AAA offices anywhere near any of the theme parks.
