AAA Discount Question

This is probably a stupid question but I'll ask anyways... For those who book and use a AAA discount (for room only), do you have to use a AAA agent? Or can you book through Disney and still use a AAA discount? Most other hotels let you book through them and then just show proof of membership upon check-in so I wasn't sure how it works with Disney.

We planning a trip in May of 2009 and I'm not sure it's worth it to have to deal with a third party (AAA), especially if there's not even a discount for the time we're going since it'll be around Memorial Day.

You can book a room-only reservation with the AAA discount directly with Disney. If you book a package, you need to book through AAA. The AAA discounts typically come out late summer for the following year.
