AAA Discount - Only for rooms & not Packages?

I contacted my local AAA office for a quote and noticed the difference was only $30 or 5% discount. When I asked about this, was told the discount was for room only's. Is this correct?

The discount itself is only on the room, however you should be able to book a complete package through AAA.

Sounds like she was trying to say the discount is off the room portion of the package, not the entire package. So it would actually probably be a little higher. The AAA room discount varies but I don't think I've ever heard of it being lower than 10%

I called to get a quote for a room & ticket package, as well as room, ticket & dining package. Both came back with very little discounts. AAA told me that Disney only discounts the room portion only, with no discounts for tickets or meal plans.

Difference of $34.45. Discount is about 5%.

I know we booked out trip through AAA and the discount varies by which resort you are staying at. I think the higher the discount the higher in price the resort is. We booked ours in January when they have the AAA special Disney days at our local AAA and we were able to get our package and dining for about $250 less then what Disney quoted us and then we were sent a pin for free dining for our trip a few weeks ago which then took off another $500 of our total cost.

I booked it directly with Disney as a room only w/AAA discount. Hoping they extend the free dining. Will add passes later w/Disney.

Keep in mind you booked a room only through Disney.
AAA packages cannot be booked through Disney.
If you decide you want a package instead, the process will not be just adding dining and tickets to a room only res.
You will be cancelling your room only res and booking a package.

We book our "room only" through Disney and are given a AAA if they have any. This trip we are staying the first night (travel day) at the POP room only before our stay at the BCV.
