I have a 10 night trip booked through Disney.
My MIL is planning to stay at our resort for 3 nights and we are going to book/pay for a room for her. When I called Disney directly to get a quote they said it is not a problem to for a person who is not staying in the room to book and pay for it. Since I am paying, is it possible for me to book the room through AAA and get a discount? I'm assuming I have to be listed as a guest for that room, but I thought I would ask anyway.

Im pretty sure you have to be on the res and if they ask for your AAA card at check in and she cant produce it theyll change the room to rack rate and she'll have to pay for it

We just stayed in two rooms at POR in January of this year using my AAA discount - one for my wife and myself and one for our son and his wife. The CM did say that I might need to produce my AAA card when our son checked in so I made sure that I was there when they arrived but nobody asked to see my card. And we've done this several times in the past with no problems. Good luck.

We'll already be at the resort for a few days when she gets there and were planning to meet her when she was checking in (she's never been before and our cc will be used to pay for the room), so it wouldn't be a problem to show the AAA card.

I guess I will just call and find out.
Thanks for the responses.
