AAA discount better than new code

Just called and got a price quote for my May vacation with the new code. I am booked with AAA for a 6 night MYW package plus dining. With the new code, it comes out about $60 more than what I am paying with AAA. So, I will stick with what I have.

What kind of tickets are you getting? We figured in the winter deal it was going to cost about that much more if we went however we would have been getting base tickets so for the extra 60 we could all try out hoppers/water parks. Werent' sure if we wanted to but it would have made me think. Anyway the reason I'm asking is because I want to know if it's more because of the tickets or more because it just isnt as good of a deal ast the one for winter.

With AAA we are getting PH tickets, but not the water park option. The new code includes PH and water park option, so it probably comes out closer to costing the same amount if you compared them side by side.

I stuck with what I have too, i would rather save 167.00 than have free hopping and water parks.

I'm in a similar position. I talked to my AAA TA this morning and she called WDW to price the package here goes:

7night/8day POFQ, 2 adults 1 child (age 5), 7 Day MMY w/ DDP, Water Parks/Fun Package (no hoppers). 5/7-5/14

AAA total package price $2505
WDTC (spoke with agent this morning) total package price w/o trip insurance $2557

For us, the Park Hoppers are not worth the $52. I'm keeping what we've got now. I'm wondering how people are getting savings if they have booked through AAA?

I saved $20 off from original AAA rate because I booked 7 day park hopper originally but got a discount on the room rate. With this new deal, I am paying rack rate for room, but only getting charged for a 7 day base ticket and the upgrade to hopper and waterparks is free. I jumped on it as we were going to purchase 2 days of waterparks and more for my 2 teens. Now we ALL get the waterparks and more for all 7 days

I used the new code because we were already waffling about adding the WP option. This way, we paid $67 more than our original AAA price, when it would have cost us about $265 to buy the WP option on top of our AAA price So I'm happy! $67 for 5 people for 6 options is awesome!
