Yes. I would show your AAA card with every purchase you make. Some places may not accept it but most do and some you don't think of do also. Show it everywhere you take out $ or a CC.
I agree with JessicaR, show it everywhere - can't hurt.
I have received a 10% discount at quick-service dining areas, and I believe it is the same for merchandise. I don't think the discount applies at outdoor food carts, however.
Absolutely there is & it is one of the main reasons I have a AAA card, since I do not drive. I use it for the discounts & we saved a ton of money last year flashing the AAA card. They even took the discount at the airport store as well & when we had lunch at Three Broomsticks & any of the shops we bought something at. Definitely worth the price of membership for sure. I forgot to try to use it to buy Butterbeer to test if I could but i'll try it in 2 months to see if they'll take my AAA card as well. Like said previously, it doesn't hurt to ask.

Thanks for this! We're AAA members and would never have known about this perk without this thread. Clearly I need to spend more time on this board brushing up on my USO knowledge before my trip in Sept.
If you have both, show both, I do! The AP seems to work more often for a discount than the AAA card but both are 10%. However, sometimes the AP has special promotions that increase the % of discount.

I asked about this since it seemed to be a hit-or-miss situation. A foodstand employee explained that the AAA discount isn't programmed into the registers at the stands unless the stand is attached to a building or has its own building.
We bought Butterbeer inside the Hogshead Pub, not at the stand outside and received the discount. It's also good on merchandise in stores and for other purchases. Just ask.

Is the AAA discount good at the restaurants at the on site resorts as well (specifically Tchop Chop, Jakes, and Bula at RPR?) or does it just apply to the parks and city walk locations?
Just wondering if British members of the AAA can use their members card for the discount too?? My husband is a member and the discount would be useful to us as a family
Thanks
