AAA Diamond Pass?

we actually had a parking attendant check the date on ours last week. and one day we arrived at AK at opening and were told they were not permitting diamond pass parking that day and had to turn around and park in regular parking

What do you mean they checked the date? There is no date on it (except blackout dates). It just lists the year as 2014.

My sister in law works for AAA and I asked her about possibly getting us a diamond pass since we are members and, since the middle of 2013 all of the diamond passes in their office have to be printed off a computer and they list the dates of your trip on them, so she couldn't get us one. She said many offices have already switched to this new system. So maybe the previous poster got her pass from one of those offices.
