AAA Diamond Parking

Is it worth it to buy from AAA to get the parking pass? The reason I ask is I am thinking of getting one but the 7 day park hopper is $319. However, I can get 7 day parkhopper plus passes for $301 plus shipping and they include character breakfast. Anyways I was debating if there was enough value to the parking thing. My dates in orlando are dec 20-31.

We found it was nice at AK, and OK at the other parks. Especially good if you had a stroller and didn't want to use the trams.

I'm sorry..it won't do you any good..I didn't realize you weren't staying on Disney property. You have to show your resort card as well as the AAA certificate to get the Diamond parking. They asked everytime for us.

I would go w/ the PHP passes and the character meal!! JMHO
I would think the free character meal is worth at least 20.00 per adult and 12.00 per child!! On top of that you get all the plusses!

With your dates, the AAA parking is somewhat restricted. Block out dates for MGM are 14 - 31 December and the EPCOT block out date is 31 December.
Plus, I would expect the AAA parking lot to fill up rather quickly during these peak times...
When AAA is available, it is a very nice perk.

We actually liked it when the parking filled up..because then they let us use our pass to park on the first available "end" spot. Closest to the tram..instead of following the cars down to the end.

Do they allow you to park on the end spots on the block out dates? I was under the impression that it wasn't available at all during those dates--(MGM 14-31 Dec and EPCOT 31 Dec).

We've never been there on black out dates..I was responding to when the diamond lots are filled.

In any case, my pass can't be used because they aren't staying on site.

I was under the impression that you had to purchase a hotel package not just a PH pass from AAA to get the AAA parking benefit. Can someone clear this up?

When I recently purchase PH tickets from AAA, they gave me a parking pass. However... the pass is ancient. It notes that it is valid at "Epcot '94" (and there is no mention of AK). I'm really curious as to whether it has been sitting in the back of a drawer for a decade, and whether it will be honored...

you just have to purchase tickets from AAA. Just got mine a few weeks ago and they handed me a parking pass along with the tickets.

When I was pricing out tickets about 3-4 weeks ago it(website)said they came with the tickets (I was not buying a package from them) I just assumed I would be able to use them whether i stayed onsite or offsite but I don't know for sure!!Someone please clear this up! Thanks

Actually it pays to get it out and actually read it... it says valid resort id or valid park admission ticket..so mine is going in the mail..it will be able to be used. It should be there Friday waiting for you.

Each year we've had them, they have been a different color..and ours has a big 2003 in the upper right corner. It's pink this year.

Our AAA gives them to us, but each time they say, it's suppose to be part of a package.

buy these parking passes from AAA? I didn't buy my PHP tix from them, because they were more $$. But I am an AAA member and would be willing to shell out a bit of $ for the parking pass....

Up here in Alberta, Canada they give out a parking pass with either Park hoppers Plus' or Packages. However a 7 Day Park Hopper Plus is 319 from them. I ended up ordering from Paramount for $301 and they come with a Character Breakfast Voucher. Anyways we leave Tommorrow. Thanks again dmrick.

We just returned Monday, and had no problems using them. We didn't stay onsite either. This was a great perk for us, since we do have strollers!

On our last trip to WDW, we booked our package thru AAA & received the Diamond lot parking pass but it was a joke. The days we could use it, the "lot was full" & we were there when the parks opened....the other days the lot parking pass was blacked out so not usable. We were there the week before Christmas & returned home on Christmas Eve. So about the same time frame as you.

If you get there early do you think the lots will be full? We plan on going first thing at open....Also, My family will be taking 2 vehicles...has anyone ever asked for 2 of them? Just wondering......Thanks!
