AAA Diamond Lots??

I've read that the AAA Diamond Lots are closer than the regualr lots to the parks. We've booked a room at POP through CRO (using the AAA rate), and I was wondering how we get access to the AAA Diamond Lots?? Since I'm not booking directly with AAA, is that a problem? TIA!

You get the pass from your AAA office, so you need to book through them or get your tickets through them.

It depends on your AAA office policy. Some say only packages. Others give passes with the tickets.

I booked my Disney hotel and airfare through American Airlines. I bought my tickets for Disney (just last week) at my local AAA website. The tickets they had were 4 and 5 day hopper passes, but I would call your local office to confirm this. When I purchased the tickets, I got a AAA Diamond parking pass, which means that you still have to pay, but show the pass and your car will be allowed to park right up front. Hope this helps!

If you get there early enough, the diamond lot is not an advantage. In fact you will be required to walk to the entrance. The diamond lot is not serviced by trams. This may be a disadvantage if you have put in a long tiring day at WDW.

On the other hand, If you arrive late, there is nothing like up front parking. Beware though, there are blackout dates on the diamond pass. Check with your office to find out when those dates are.
