Does anyone know the AAA cancellation policy? I made package reservations with them today and the agent said that the hotel would be non-refundable unless I had trip insurance but when I look at reservations online at the same resort (All-star movies) it says there is a 5 day cancellation policy where you can cancel up to 5 days before check-in.....thanks....

When is your trip? If it is in less than 45 days then WDW says it is non refundable. WDW room only packages are refundable up to 5 days before check-in. Im not sure about AAA packages though

Our trip is May 10-15 so we are right before the 45 days. Is it because I booked a package (room + tickets) with AAA? If I would have booked rooms and tickets separately, I could do the 5 day cancellation policy??? But won't I get a better deal with the total package....so confusing....

WOW...I was just coming here to post the EXACT question!

Does anyone know what the cancellation fee is for AAA bookings?

First of all, you should have been given documents from AAA that detail the cancellation fees. Here is the info from our documents that we had to sign when we booked the trip: "Cancellation Policy: If package is cancelled 44 to 6 days prior to arrival there is a cancellation fee of $100.00 per package. For cancellations made 5 days or less to arrival there is a cancelllation fee of $200.00 per package plus any fees assessed by hotels or other suppliers. No refund will be given to no-shows."

So AAA does not charge any fees other than Disney's fees?

If the whole package is booked with AAA thru Disney, then no there are not any extra fees. Our upcoming trip in Apr/May came to $200 less than if I had booked it with Disney directly. The only time that there might be an additional fee, is if you book your airline tickets with them separately than from your Disney package. Three years ago, we booked the whole package, Disney and airfare together and there wasn't any additional fee. Two years ago, because I was going down early on business and my son was flying down separately from a different state, we did the airline reservations ourselves, if our AAA agent had done them, since they were separate from our Disney package, there would have been an additional fee, I believe at that time it would have been $25 for each reservation. This year we booked our airfare ourselves, because we are doing some other things besides Disney, so are going down 4 days before our Disney package begins.

thanks. I booked over the phone today so I haven't gone in to sign the papers yet. I will doublecheck the cancellation policy when I go pick up the papers. thanks

yep, that's what mine says, too.

I don't know about AAA cancellation policy, however I was told on the phone by a Disney representative when I made my reservations that although their is a 200 Dollar cancellation fee within 5 days, there is no penalty for rescheduling.
