I am wondering if you guys have any suggestions. My sister booked a trip for 4 nights through AAA with free dining at All Stars. Today when she called to make her 45 day final payment AAA told her the reservation is for only 3 nights, not 4. They have her checking out a day sooner. My sister has the emails with the total amount for 4, specifying the dates when she booked in months ago but AAA is telling her the best they can do it put her at the Best Western?? :confused3 She is calling me crying on the phone and I don't know what to tell her? I suggested she ask to speak with the manager but what can be done at this point? AAA told her the All Stars is sold out and they can't include the free dining for that night now. I think they can but they would have to eat the difference. Does anybody have any idea's what she can do? I can book her same trip online right now at AllStars so I know it isn't sold out.

If they gave that to me in writing (that it was for 4 nights) I would make sure they gave me what they sold me! I would not care what it cost them, this is what the agent quoted, this is what I booked. Her error is not my fault.

Take it to a supervisor. Stand your ground.

Since she is 45 days I don't see why AAA can't fix it and add another day. As long as it's not a new Ressie they should still be able to add days. If that resort is booked and they can't add a day then they can try another resort. Is this a email she sent them with 4 nights on it or her confirmation PPW from AAA that shows 4 nights? I was able to change the dates on my Free dining package after the deadline. I added 2 days and they said no problem. I would not accept the best western as a solution.

Good Luck and let us know what happens!!!

She is going to AAA this afternoon to see the supervisor (I am not sure if the supervisor knows that yet) I can't imagine why they wouldn't be able to just add the missing day also - it just doesn't make sense to me. I will let you guys know what the end result is. Thanks!

Forget the supervisor, talk with the office manger and ask her to call Disney in front of her and get the situation resolved. No way should AAA get away with this :sad2:

Sending loads of dust to your sister - please keep us posted!

Wow, i would be really upset. They should have to fix this. How did things go this afternoon?

Hi Everybody!

:thumbsup2 Everything worked out! She was able to book them at the All Star Sports for the 4 nights with the dining plan. Apparently a lot of people must cancel their packages at the time the payment is due which opened up availability. Lesson learned - always get a formal confirmation :headache:
Between the 2 of us this is our 7th trip through this AAA office and I have never received a written confirmation. Now I know better... but I will admit it will be the last time I book through AAA - even with the savings I have never been able to get any codes applied to any of the trips I have taken in the past nor did I get any offers for the nice upgrades from value to DVC like others received. I also did not know you can now make installment payments when you book through Disney - another nice perk!
Thanks for your suggestions! :)

It sounds like you may need a different aaa office, not give up on aaa. We used a postcard code and still went through our aaa office since we get good service. It doesnt sound like your agent is willing to work with you. You can use any aaa office in the nation not just your local one.

They better make it right for her especially if they have it in writing.
If not maybe you can rebook with the code at a better discount and pay for dining. I wouldn't let them keep any of the money either or threaten to post her unsatisfaction with the Disboard and Disney!

I agree. Through both AAA agents I have booked with I was able to make requests, apply codes and make payments on the total, or pay the whole thing in full before 45 days out if I chose.

I live in WA State and now use a AAA agent in the Carolinas office. :)

I agree. I went yesterday to see if they could match the rates on the online sites for Pop and the lady was unwilling to help. She wouldn't even look it up on the computer, just told me that "there was no way they could match the online sites".

If this was the Greensboro AAA location I am not surprised. I declined a job offer there and one of things they told me during the interview process was that they do not offer or match Disney discounts. :(

Although to some extent it sounded like an agent might, if a client insisted, but they can refuse. AAA Travel is not building the best reputation as Disney Specialists - even tho this office advertizes that it is Disney Approved and has agents who have attended the Disney College of Knowledge. When I was waiting for the interview I cringed at the info an agent was giving a client about Disney resort requests, "Requests can only be made at check-in and not before". :rolleyes1

I think the agent could have done better for your sister, but glad it was resolved and she is happy! :thumbsup2
