AAA and Hoop Dee Doo

Can you still get a discount with AAA?? If so, My sister in law wants to pay for our tickets to help us get the discount, does this work, Can we take her card down there or can she just use her number on the phone to pay for the tickets?? Any suggestions would really help!! THanks....
Oh PS, my dh thinks it is alot of money, and he says he hopes it is worth the money, with 4 kids.... Have a magical day!!

Hi, wenpop..
To my knowledge the only discounts
for the Hoop dee doo are
American Express.. 20% if you stay on
property and 10% off property. I booked
my trip throught AAA and they said nothing
about a discount for the Hoop dee doo, they
did give me a dimond card to use when I go
to the VIP lounge in MGK and for use at
some area's in downtown disney, although
I had the option when booking to take certain
packages that included hoop dee doo as part of
the package but I did not use that perticular
one this time, My best bet is to call
your local AAA and ask them if they have the
dimond cards for non AAA trip customers..You can at least rest in the lounge for a while, A lot
of parents go in and let their kids take
a nap and just cool down, It's very nice.Even the
disney card get's no discount at least in my information package.

There is a AAA discount for HHDR. We have used it in the past and I THINK it was also 20% but I just can't remember for sure. We made our reservations without knowing about this and when I found out I called and asked how to amend our reservations to refect the discount. We were staying on site so they told us to just present our card when we picked up our tickets. They did check our card so I doubt that you could use someone elses.
We found however that we saved enough on our trip between our passes discount, our resort discount and our HDDR discount to more that pay for our AAA membership. We have made several
other non-disney trips this year where we have saved at least a 100.00 by using AAA. We also drive so we also like the comfort of an road side service.Just something to think about.
