Hi, I was wondering if anybody knows if AAA will not be able to get you the free dinning and the AAA room rate. I just was give a quote from small and was told they could not do both, and either will AAA.

we got free dining saved 450 dollars but lost our 150 AAAdiscount on room at wl.Saved 300 overall and getting free dining.

There has been a good deal of discussion about this on the Resorts Board's Codes and Rates Board: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=828831 It looks like it depends on the TA that you speak to at AAA.

I am trying to get the information myself. But I have yet to talk to someone from AAA. :(

Disney has repeatedly told me that they will not offer both discounts. One or the other.

Which discount to take actually depends on the reservation. I have clients who saved $288 by taking the dining option and clients who would have had to pay $399 more.

The AAA discount is room only
the free dining is a package discount
so- you have to choose to book separately or book a package- you can't do both.
Good luck!

If WDW offers free dining on Thanksgiving weekend, I have split reservations due to regular/value seasons.

So my thought is rack rate and free dining 11/23/05 - 11/27/05 (4 nights) and AAA discount 11/27/05 - 11/28/05. Including the one-day, non-hopping park ticket, I would save about $45 dollars over AAA only discount and about $50 over AP discount (estimated at 30%) and estimating food at $35 per day for both plans. Since it is doubtful I will return to WDW within 1 year, the 10-day, non-expiring hopper tickets are a better value for this trip, regardless of other savngs.

I'm basing my savings on park tickets used, rather than purchased, since they are non-expiring tickets.

If they don't offer the free dining plan, I'm quite content with my current booking! :)

The MYW Dining Plan is based on the number of nights in a resort. Does redemption include the number of days of the visit (i.e., 4 nights, 5 days)? That's the main reason I would go with the four-night dining plan, as I rarely manage two full meals each day. If I did one signature meal, one character meal and one other regular table service, plus the 4 counter service and 4 snacks over the five days (11/23/05 - 11/27/05), it would be perfect. My flight probably will leave early afternoon on 11/28/05, so I would just be grazing that day. Probably wouldn't eat a meal on arrival day, either, as I usually arrive at WDW around 5 or 6 p.m.

Southwest hasn't posted their schedules/fares after October 28, 2005 yet, so the times aren't set in stone.
