AAA and Free dinning not done.......right

I am pretty sure this is not possible. I have Airline discounts and I can not use it with Free Dinning. Is it possible to do it with AAA.?

I don't know about this year, but last year we were told we could not combine AAA with free dining. Basically we had to pay value season rack rate for the room to get the free dining. It still saved us a ton of $$$ though.

The savings isn't much for me since I have a short trip and I'm staying at a Value resort, but there IS savings.

The pre-tax package price quoted to me by Disney was $8.50 higher than the BOTTOM LINE (post-tax) price that I booked with AAA. This was for a four night stay at POP.

We had a package booked through AAA(CBR, dining, and hoppers) then found out about the free dining. So we went to AAA travel agency yesterday and we didn't get to keep room discount. But we still saved $400 off our original room ressie with AAA.

I was quoted $550 by Disney and from what I understand Disney online quotes are all pre-tax.

i booked my sept trip a few months ago w/ AAA for the discount. when i heard free dining- i cld and made a ressie on my own directly with disney and fuigured i will cx one of the ressies......disney quoted me 1333.24

i called my AAA TA this AM and i am no longer getting the room discount b/c of the free dining- she gave me a price of 1328.98...sure its lower but nothing to write home about.

I had a package booked with AAA for room plus dining at the Polynesian Garden View for 8 nights and 8 day hoppers. For three adults, one 9 year old and a four year old we were given a price of 4897.60.

I then booked with Disney when the free dining code came out for Dis Visa card holders. Our package total with tax is 4231.44

My AAA TA told me originially that dining would cost us $1104, tickets $1192.81 and room $2600(my figures may be a few dollars off). She told me today that she could apply the free dining code and it would save us $666.16. She continued to tell me our total package would cost 4897.60 Which means, they were no longer giving me the room discount. If they were discounting the room and giving free dining my package total through AAA would have been $3793.60.

All of these totals included tax.

Either way the price would have been the same and we saved over $600!!!

Disney's online ticket prices are quoted without tax included. Their package prices already include all applicable taxes in the quote.

Ok, if that's the case then I didn't get the room discount. I had read several places on this board where people said that all online Disney quotes were pre-tax.

Still seems odd that the price would be a little lower through AAA. It certainly is too negligible a difference to matter at all since it's only $8.50, but I'm still curious where the discount came from.
