AAA and booking room only

Can I get my AAA discount for room only by direct contact with WDW or do i have to go through AAA?

Room only you can do directly with Disney but you will want to verify the discount %. If a room only is like 5% you might be better off adding a 1 day ticket at a deluxe and get like 20-25% discount off your whole stay on the room, but then you have to go to AAA directly.

When you book a package with AAA, the discount is the same. It's always on the room only portion. You do get a slight discount on tickets with AAA, however that's priced in separately - it doesn't up your room discount at all.
