AAA, a pkg.?

I just got my new conformation for CB for June 04. I changed from rack rate to AAA and saved 240.00 for my trip.
The problem is they changed it to a room only pkg. they did not change my res. no. it is still 12 digits.
With the change to pkg. they now say I have to pay my bal. before I get there instead of when I get there.
I this right?
I have never had to pay ahead of time before.
Do you think it would do any good to call them and complain?

I've read some other posts about this. I think when you switch a room-only ressie to a discount rate the wording changes on your confirmation to package. I'm pretty sure I've read that people have called and found out that it is not really a package and final payment is not due until day of arrival. Wouldn't hurt to call and ask.

My (recently made) AAA room only reservation receipt also says "Room Only Package" on it.

But it says on the back, "full refund for cancellation if at least five days prior to arrival date".

And mine also says 0.00 balance due for deposit. (Just the first night was charged on my credit card as I made the ressie over the phone.)

Ordinarily, package packages have something else besides the room even if it is just an admission to Disney's Wide World of Sports complex. They also have more restrictive cancellation policies.

I don't have any problems paying up front. I even end up paying multiple deposits as a long stay is split up into several consecutive short stays in order to snag AAA or AP discounts that come available for only an isolated night at a time. What I consider important for now is not having a cancellation fee, which some packages have.
