AA/AAA/Code discounts for UK visitors

Hi everyone

I just wanted to ask a quick question

Have any of you Uk visitors managed to get an AA/AAAdiscount, or general code discount on your booking if you booked through the UK disney site.

I have booked a weeks stay at All Stars Movies for Nov/Dec 07. When the general codes were released I called up the UK reservation line to see if I could use it. I was told no, codes cannot be used by UK visitors.

I tried again today, to see if I could get an AA discount and was told the same thing.

Apparently, it seems, that you can only get a discount if you are from the uk, by booking via the US disney reservation line/website.

Can anyone shed any light on this, or have any experiences?

Correct. The Disney UK reservations staff cannot apply the AAA discount to your reservation. The only way for UK visitors to get the AAA rates is to book with Disney in the USA.

Edited to add - the same applies for the general release discount codes. With the current exchange rate, excellent discounts and more generous cancellations procedures, I think it's silly NOT to book with Disney in the USA. I've never seen the attraction of booking with Disney UK.
