I currently own a Canon EOS 7D. I`ve been thinking about purchasing a smaller, but just as capable mirrorless camera.

The two that are in my budget are the Sony a6000 and the Olympus OM-D E-M10.

As far as lenses go, I would like to be able to get comp arables to my Canon system.

ie. a good UWA (ie. 10-22mm), and good fast mid range zoom (ie. 17-50mm f/2.8) and an affordable tele-zoom (ie. 70-200, 55-210).

I'm not a big primes user, and would rather not have to use adapters that make me lose things like AF.

Which would you choose, and why? OM-D E-M10 or Sony a6000?

I would (and did) get Panasonics highly rated lenses: 7-14 f/4; 12-35 f/2.8; and 35-100 f/2.8.

Olympus is (supposedly) releasing 7-14 and 40-150 PRO lenses which are expected to be f/2.8 and expensive, these would be good choices. Olympus also has a 12-40 f/2.8 PRO which is also considered to be a good lens. We have an Olympus 9-18 but 9 just isn't wide enough when we can get 7!

Panasonics 7-14 does not have a filter thread. I made an adapter but with a polarizer it vignettes slightly at about 8 mm.

I went with the A6000 myself - I really wanted the fast tracking focus as I do a lot of bird in flight photography...my general travel kit is close to what you want, though I'm missing the fast mid-range zoom which I never really felt I needed. I just use the 18-55mm kit lens when I need that range, have the very good 10-18mm F4 UWA lens, the 55-210mm which is a decent consumer zoom, and the 35mm F1.8, which is a nice stabilized fast prime. The 16-70mm Zeiss is well liked, but for me just not needed or worth it.
