Good morning all!
This is the first time in YEARS I've chosen to make a trip report (or a PTR) but it felt like it was the right time to.
For anyone who doesn't know me, hi!
I've been around the boards for over a decade, usually just quietly lurking or posting in planning threads. I'm a middle school English teacher and drama director up in Massachusetts with a love of Disney and a crazy plan.
What's the crazy plan you may ask?
Well, back in November my mother and I went to the Christmas parties for the first time. It was a nice (if cold) weekend away. My mum and I do a few weekends away to Disney together a year, or at least try to. While we were down there she convinced me to get an Annual Pass because I used to have one. The problem was I already had a trip planned for June and that trip is (mostly) a staycation with friends. Outside of the benefits we could gain from using the AP on dinners and merch what was the point?
And then, I had a thought. What if I made it a point to go to all the Epcot festivals?
Now, to be fair, I've been to all but Festival of the Holidays - I've missed it by a week on either end a couple of times - but I usually only go to one a year. usually Food and Wine.
I also got inspired by all those Tik Toks that are the out of state Passholders who go down once a month to get some use out of their passes. Now, clearly I can't do that, but what I can do is weekends and vacations.
And that led to the madness and the plan.
And now we are here. Instead of making a bunch of short trip reports, to make my life easier I am making a Mega TR for the year of 2026.
The Details:
- February: Festival of the Arts with my mother Feb. 14-17
- April: Flower and Garden solo trip Apr. 17 - 22
- June: Reset trip with friends Jun. 24-30
- September: Food & Wine annual trip with my mother Sep. 24-27
- December: Festival of the Holidays solo trip Dec. 11-14
In each of my trips I plan to get a pin to make a nice mini pinboard. I'm hoping to get a nice photo from each as well to make a shadowbox with the pinboards and photos.
Since we are officially back from our February trip I'm ready to get this Trip Report started!
