I'm really trying to be fair...I mean, some people love it, right?? I am, however, only giving it about half a day or a little more, and that's on purpose. If we actually end up enjoying it a lot, we'll come back for more later. And if not, well, at least our morning was filled before we nap and go to MNSSHP!Hope you have better success loving Animal Kingdom than we have! I've just kind of accepted that this is not the park for us, and we stick to the other 3. But that is very fair to give it another shot! (and it doesn't hurt that you now have a favorite beverage there to seek out!
It is hotter than all the other parks. I don't care what anybody says, you can't convince me it's not! The only park I've ever been nearly that hot in is Epcot in the World Showcase in the middle of the day, but even then I felt like trudging along. At AK, I feel like melting.I'm not offended, but I am in the category of loving DAK! I think it is a lot of fun, but I also hate how dreadfully hot it seems (or is?, many argue it is not hotter than the other parks.. I disagree!). Idk what it is about it, maybe because I didn't expect it my first trip with Kayla back in 2005? But something about it makes me giddy! We always have a great time there. this year I am going to try and do one full day, and one mini day to redo things we didn't maybe get to do first time! Although, if we get most stuff done, I may skip it and do something else

I'm not a huge fan of being "damp," either, and since Sawyer's not big enough to go on Kali, it will be a perfect time for me to volunteer to go get a frozen chaiI have to say that we really enjoy AK. We are in the group to head right to the safari. It is in my top 3 rides at WDW. I have so many stinking pictures from that ride, it's not even funny anymore.
DH really dislikes getting (as he calls it) "damp" so we've only done Kali River Rapids a couple times, so that is one thing off our to do list. I haven't decided if we'll make the trek out to Rafiki's Planet Watch yet or not. I guess it depends on the kids and timing.
And thanks for the chai mention. It's so going on my list of must haves. It looks yummy!!!
We are going to be fighting the TSM rush while you are at AK, but we are going to be partying on Tuesday night, too! My girls (I think) are going as Belle and Minnie Mouse. I'm considering dressing up, but can't decide.
!I think it will grow on us even more. It's not the we don't like it, but rather that we just don't rush to get there or feel the need to go more than one day per trip. I think the fact that I didn't get to ride anything last time put a damper on my mood while we were there. This year we have things all planned out and I'm not pregnant, so it should be fun!Not offended at all, but we are big-time Animal Kingdom lovers. I hope it grows on you little by little, but if not, it's still good for something different now and then.

That's our plan. We're going to get there at 4-ish, grab some food, and get the heck out of the way! I can't wait until somebody goes to the first party and posts the map; I want to know how it's going to be set up this year.We may see you at the party! I think we are planning on walking over sometime around 4pm-ish. DH's dad, sister, brother-in-law, and nephew are all flying in that morning, so we will have to wait for them to check into the Poly and then meet up, but my plan is to get there early.
We like to get our wristbands and trick-or-treat bags and move to the back of the park. That way we miss all the hordes of people that are trying to leave before the party. We usually just catch a counter service dinner before the real party starts!
I'm curious to see how they will do it without the path between Toontown and Tomorrowland this year. That was one of my favorite trick-or-treat spots.
By the way, I did the Safari when I was about two months pregnant a couple of years ago. I requested to sit in the very front and it wasn't as bumpy, but if I were further along, then I would have skipped it. I double-checked it with my ob/gyn before I went specifically...that's how much I love that ride!

WOW! You are already in the home stretch, Mama! I can't believe our babies are growing up so fast. Sawyer's getting faster and steadier at walking now. He's doing it about 90% of the time and only crawls when he's going a short distance from toy to toy or if he's really, really tired.

SIX WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!! Only six more weeks and I'm heading to my happy place!
Won't be much of a summer, but we'll supposedly get two weeks in October, December, and March for breaks. We'll see.
We have a school girl, too, now. She has made some new friends and has had fun these last three days, but I think she and her Mommy are both ready for the weekend. 
That may not seem like much, but to a family that collects coins for WDW, it's a fortune!
