A WW points question and Beer

I have some friends on Atkins and now they drink the new michelob beer. Okay, my WW books are from 2001 so I'm not sure how much, if any, point values have changed. I know a can of pepsi is 3 pts, diet coke is 0 pts, diet sprite is 0 pts, a bud light is 2 pts, but I'm wondering about that Michelob low carb beer that a lot of people seem to be drinking. This is not in any of my books b/c this beer came out after 2001. Do you know the point value? Is there really a difference between the michelob low carb and a bud light?

Hi Cinmell,

I got the information by first going to www.michelob.com and found out that the name of the beer is Michelob Ultra.

Then I went to www.calorieking.com and entering Michelob. The Michelob Ultra Light is as follows:

Calories 96 cals
Total Fats 0 g Sugars -
Carbohydrates 2.5 g Cholesterol -
Protein 0.6 g Sodium -
Fiber - Alcohol 11.9 g

Ok,
Don't count that fiber to lower your points!!!

96 calories = 1.9 points. I would count it as 2 points!

So as far as WW's goes, there is no difference in points between the Bud Light and the Michelob Ultra Light

Thanks Melanie! I went to the Michelob site but I don't think I searched well enough. All I saw was the 96 calories and 2.5 carbohydrates.

See, and when I went to the michelob site I didn't see the 96 calories!! I was going to the calorieking to look up the calories. Isn't it funny how we can sometimes not see something, but be looking at the same thing. I don't like the Michelob site. Too much graphics, and not enough links telling you the info you are looking for.
