Hi everyone
Lastnight when I finally got home, there was a box waiting for me. It was from need_a_disney_fix(Laurie). I knew at some point the box was coming because she told me a couple weeks ago.
Anyways, Laurie made me an absoultely beautiful prayer shawl. I don't have any pics to share of it yet but it has some blues and yellows and light purple entertwined and it's gorgeous and so soft and cuddly. It couldn't have come at a better time than lastnight. I finally opened the box at midnight and to find this special present with the great card was what I needed. And boy does it work, I cuddled up with it and just sat and it brought me such peace.
It's amazing the generosity of people, especially people you don't "know." I have met some amazing people on here and continued to be suprised by the wonderful friendships and caring that is on here and I hope continues on for a long time.
Laurie, thank you so much for the beautiful, cherished gift. I hope I haven't embarssed by sharing this with the community but I wanted everyone to know what a wonderful person you are, just in case they didn't already. I hope things slow down soon and I can take time to show some pics of the shawl when I'm at home.
BTW, interestingly enough Laurie also sent me a musical card that she had no idea what my personal "fight song." It's amazing how somethings just happen.
