A Wish to see Cinderella's Castle--DD's MAW trip

Your TR is great. I am so excited for your DD's. I have read about MAW but never followed a TR for one. Glad I decided to join in on this one. My heart is filled with joy when I see your beatiful little girl smiling. Can't wait for more.

Thank you! I really didn't know how well I would do writing this. I guess I am doing ok since you all are still with me!

We headed to Casey’s for lunch. Yummy! My girls like hot dogs so they enjoyed this meal. I knew we were going to be at MK all day so I thought we would head to the Wish Lounge for a rest. The Wish Lounge is located by First Aid and is specifically for Wish Trip families. The whole resting idea was shot in the butt as soon as we went in the room. There is a huge pillow in the middle of the room and the girls thought it was fun to run and jump on it. I only have one pic from here because I videotaped most of our time in there.

Karmyn loved being able to be out of the stroller and run around. The CM, Rae, loved watching the girls and interacting with them. Since they weren’t going to rest, we headed out and went to ToonTown.

On our way there we noticed that Storytime with Belle was about to start so we headed in to watch it. Koryn got picked to be in it!! I thought she was going to be shy about it, but nope, she went right up and did very well. She got to be Chip, which is her favorite!! I got a couple pics, as I remembered after it started that we had the video camera we borrowed from GKTW, so I taped the show.

Koryn was first in line to get Belle’s autograph after the show! She did it all by herself!!

Off to Toontown…..We went to see if the princesses were in their room. They were!! I had high hopes for this interaction since she loves the princesses. We showed the GAC and they directed through the exit to a rope that is actually very near the front of the regular lines. The CM there asked us who we wanted to see. The Princesses of course!! Donald, Pluto and Goofy were in the other room. We waited a few minutes and then were in escorted in the princess room. Other families were let in behind us. Koryn was a little shy at first. Aurora noticed that and walked over and took Koryn by the hand and walked her to where her area is. Koryn did SO well. She was enamored with all the princesses. I didn’t even have to go up with her. While she was with Aurora I heard the CM explain that there was a Wish family in line and that they were going to get a picture with all three princesses. The families behind us were great because I heard many of them say that was ok.

Then Koryn got to se Cinderella!!! She was a little shy at first but Cinderella did a great job interacting with her.

Then we did the pic with all three princesses. By this time I had tears in my eyes. Koryn did so well and was smiling from ear to ear. Here is the pic……

Belle then took her by the hand and took her to her spot. Belle even got down to her level and talked to her.

By the end our time in there I had decided that was probably the most amazing experience and things couldn’t possibly get any better. My princess got to meet the princesses and she was in heaven!!!! We exited out and she was so excited!!! I asked her if she wanted to see Goofy, Donald and Pluto. She decided that it would be ok to see Donald, but not the others. So back to the rope we went. Goofy happened to come out and Koryn freaked out. She screamed and covered her ears and ran to mommy. Oh boy….this was going to be interesting. This was her first test with head characters after her announcement that she was ready to see them now. We went in and Koryn was not happy. We let other families go before us while we stood back and just took in the characters. One of the CMs talked to Koryn reassuriong her that is was going to be ok. Daddy ended up taking Karmyn up and seeing Goofy. Karmyn loved the characters!!!

I then took Koryn up to see Donald. She did ok as long as I was holding her.

We made it up to see Pluto also…..

After all the hoopla about being scared of the characters, Koryn would blow kisses and wave goodbye to all of them as we left. We shopped around for a little bit. Koryn trying on a hat....

When we got outside, I asked Koryn if she wanted to see Minnie and Mickey. It was an enthusiastic yes!! (mommy is feeling better about her and the characters now!!) We went through the exit of Minnie’s Country House. I felt kind of awkward because there was no CM until we got up to Minnie. She saw our GAC and acknowledged us. Koryn went to Minnie by herself!! Yay!!

We then went to see Mickey. Mickey is my favorite! For some reason Koryn did not want to go up to Mickey by herself. Not a problem…..mommy wanted her pic with Mickey too!!

DH, MIL and Karmyn looked around while we were with M & M. Karmyn had fallen asleep in her stroller. At least she took a nap!! She actually fell asleep quite easily in the stroller which was a big plus! We headed toward Main Street to get a spot for the 3:00 parade. It had started to rain on our way there. Ugh!! The CM’s around us said that the parade would go on, it might just be a shortened version. Koryn waiting for the parade…..

The parade started late and it was the shortened version. Basically the characters all rode in cars instead of on floats. I knew we had to head out after the parade because we had ressies at 1900 Park Fare at 4:40. On our way out we ran across Jiminy Cricket, Perla & Suzy, Snow White & Dopey. Mommy got Jiminy’s autograph too since he was a first for me.

We returned the stroller and headed to the monorail. We ended up being late to the GF because we sat in the Contemporary for probably 10 minutes while they put another monorail on the rail! We got to the GF at 4:55. We were still able to get in for our meal. The characters were great. The stepsisters were hilarious!!! Here are our pics…

Back on the monorail to the MK. We headed to Tomorrowland to ride Buzz Lightyear. We were able to go through the fastpass line with Koryn’s GAC. We had forgotten to tell MIL what this ride was, so I am trying to holler back to her what to do as we headed into the ride on the vehicles. Poor MIL!! We took a potty break (don’t worry I won’t tell you about all the potty breaks!!!) and walked back to main street to get a spot for Spectromagic. We finally found a spot across from Casey’s. MIL stayed with the strollers while DH and I took the girls shopping. Koryn bought a baby Simba wrapped in a leaf blanket for herself and a baby Pooh wrapped in a blanket for Karmyn. Koryn had gotten some Birthday money that she saved for vacation, so she paid for Simba with her own money.

We made it back to MIL and waited for the parade to start. There was a very nice family next to us with a couple other little girls. The littlest one ended up sitting on the curb next to Koryn to watch the parade. Koryn was very tired after the parade. I asked her if she wanted to watch the fireworks or go back to the villa. She wanted to see the fireworks so we waited. Karmyn fell asleep while we waited. Koryn covered her ears during Wishes (I forgot the earplugs back at the villa) but she thoroughly enjoyed it. We headed out with the masses. The crowd for the direct monorail to the TTC was long so we got on the resort monorail. The TTC is the second stop and we definitely did not have to wait as long in line!!

We headed to GKTW and made it back to the villa around 10:00. We walked in to find gifts waiting for the girls!! Too bad they were both sound asleep! Off to bed we went.

Tomorrow…Animal Kingdom!

Oh, man, those princess pictures had me CRYIN'!! I can't wait to see the pic of Koryn seeing the castle for the first time. This is just so MAGICAL - and nobody deserves the magic more than Koryn. Can't wait to read more. . .

What a wonderful day Sounds like Koryn is warming up to the characters (Goofy IS BIG) I suppose that not needing a nap could indicate very energetic children (no afternoon grumpiness?) I would take that as a good sign that she's recovering.

Oh my goodness! Look at all those character pictures! That is awesome. And Jimney Cricket! One of my favorites! (Every mommy likes the thought that their child had a conscience following them around ) We were in melt down mode at the MK, so we didn't get to do any characters. Next time!

I am so glad Karmyn got past her fear. She will love looking at those pictures and remembering her trip!

She did very well with no naps, I was very surprised. She does get a little more whiney, but it still went ok.

Today we were going to head to the AK. Koryn was looking forward to seeing the animals at AK.

MIL was up very early!! I was up shortly there after. I am not a morning person, but magically I turn into one at WDW!! I used the extra time while the kids were sleeping to finish up my notes from the previous day and get things ready for today. At GKTW there are two days in which Mickey and Minnie come to the village to meet families. YAY!! We headed to the Theater and got our picture taken with M & M.

We headed out and ran into Pluto, Belle and Goofy. Goofy took a liking to MIL!!!

We then headed to the Gingerbread House for another filling breakfast. Then we were off to Animal Kingdom. We arrived about 9:20 and ran into some characters outside the entrance. Koryn did fine as long as I was holding her.

Governor Ratcliffe was out also but she did NOT want to see him. Villians
were a no go. After she saw Rafiki she automatically asked for Timon. I told her that I was sure he would be out somewhere and we would find him. I promised. I should know better.

We headed to Kilimanjaro Safari ride and were detoured by Lilo and Stitch…..

And by Terk….

We finally made it to the safari ride and were let in through the fastpass line with the GAC. Koryn loved seeing all the animals. I think the elephants and giraffes were here favorite. Somehow Karmyn managed to fall asleep on the ride! She falls asleep in the car all the time…but on the bumpy safari ride?!?!?!?!?

After we got off the safari ride we headed to Rafiki’s Planet watch. The girls loved the train ride. Koryn got to meet Pocahontas…..

We saw Jiminy and another character there, Koryn wanted to see them again. I told her that maybe we should let the others in line see them since we already had. I didn’t want to abuse the GAC that we had. Koryn did very well and said that was ok. I was very proud of her for not throwing a fit. She wanted her pic in front of the rhino…..
