A Wigdout trip report, DISmeets, Flashing Jelly Rings and Manpris, Oh MY!

Looks like a great start!
Thanks! It was good to get there without any problems........kind of makes you think flying is easy, almost like having a false sense of security........:rolleyes1
Hurray! You made it to the Magical Express! Next stop? Walt Disney World!!!
Yay:yay: Isn't the arrival the best?
Great Up date that will be me at that time!
Surely you don't mean trying to make "the face".....:rotfl2:

What a wonderful start to your Magical two week trip!!!

It sure is a good thing that you bought Baylor all the new spiffy luggage so you could "shuffle" some of your extra weight into his and Shocker's bags there at the last minute!!! :rotfl2: I can just hear Shocker at that hour of the morning.......weighing, re-weighing, "shuffling" (as you called it), then having to weigh it again and YOU just going BUT I NEED IT, I NEED IT ALL!!! You know with these VB bags that you have to have certain shoes, since the patterns won't go with just anything!! You are indeed married to a very patient MAN!!! :goodvibes

Baylor I am sure was nervous about the flight (he indeed has had some experiences!!) and knew as soon as "somebody" had the luggage checked in, that y'all would head straight toward the plane. Bless his heart, he is so thoughtful to run ahead and go to the bathroom, so that y'all wouldn't have to slow down going through the terminal to wait for him!! What a thoughtful child. He is just an !!! You know I am surprised, truly I am, that the luggage wasn't still sitting on the curb after Shocker returned from parking the car........y'all must have been cutting it close?? :lmao:

I'll take it that since the attendant with the drink cart just passed you guys by, that Shocker will no longer get the isle seat?? Now see, that just shows what a nice, quiet, patient Man my buddy is........he watches the attendant serve the other side of the isle, watches the cart roll on by the 3 of you and forces YOU to give the LOOK!! Can we also assume that the attendant wasn't the only one that received the look??? :rotfl2:

002-13.jpg

UMMMMM, HEY DID ANYBODY ELSE NOTICE THAT THE ROAD TO SAVINGS STARTS WITH HERTZ????? What a special way to start the trip!! Knowing that a RENTAL CAR could have lead you down the road to SAVINGS and easy access to anywhere and everywhere during your TWO WEEK trip!!!!!!!! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2::rolleyes1

I am excited that Baylor made it without using that little baggie.......the trip seems to truly be starting off Magical indeed!!!:thumbsup2

OH, please forgive me, I had to come out and SPEAK, when I saw the magazine.....but I will "work" on doing better the rest of the trip!! Nothing like a child who can't just be quiet in the back seat, I KNOW, I KNOW!!! :sad2:

Ahem, it was not "the look" you gave the stewardess but the fact that she noticed my parched complexion from being at near dehydration.

I had pushed the beckoning button to get her attention as I was ready to pass out and block the aisle.....

:scratchin Not sure how I missed this. So I am 2 days tardy to the teachers trip report. :guilty: But I am here now.

It never fails with Baylor, just when we get to the airport or just when we are set to leave the restaurant.....

The whole airport/luggage routine is pretty well set. I pull up next to the terminal, unload the luggage to the curb, and whiz back to the shuttle parking area. :yay:

It is not a large airport, so I usually have to wait a few minutes for the shuttle to arrive. I arrive back at the terminal and find wigd and Baylor waiting for me in the check-in line. :grouphug:

After checking in, it is time to take the checked luggage to the drop-off location and then load up all the carry-on luggage.

We trudge to the security check-in and go through that entire process.

On to our gate which is always the furthest, but it is a relatively small airport.

When we finally get to board, I am loaded down with a backpack, containing two computers (fun unpacking and packing them back up after security), and at least two carry-on suitcases.

The group of idiots (oops, I mean youth) had done a terrible job of loading their carry-ons so I was trying to rearrange theirs, load ours, and still make sure my back was not being permanently injured by the weight of my backpack.

I finally get to sit, and slide the backpack under the seat in front of me, knowing in just a few minutes that the resident of that seat will become another in the long list of "leaners"!

It seems like in no time at all we were off to Saratoga Springs, I still get excited to watch the very same video over and over each trip. We had checked into the resort online so we only needed to go in and see where they had assigned us and get our key to the world card and set up charging privileges. I think it might have been about 1:30 when we arrived and our studio wasn't ready yet, so we headed into Artist's Palette for a little lunch.
Here are a couple of light fixture pictures that need to make their way over to
Lady Lallies light fixture thread.....

I just love these lights and wish I could find something similar for my gazebo, they are just so colorful and pretty!

009-7.jpg

Baylor is a happy boy, eating chicken nuggets with a 2 week Disney vacation beginning. I can't believe I didn't get a picture of the food!

011-8.jpg

Being artistic at the Artist's Palette!

012-4.jpg

Shocker had a bowl of chili, and thought it was very good, and I had a turkey sandwich with chips, yum! You will also notice we purchased resort mugs!

013-8.jpg

We shared these treats! Aren't the Mickey sprinkles cute?

014-6.jpg

As soon as we finished eating Marc checked and our studio was ready, so we headed out to bell services to pick up our purple locker and catch a ride over to "The Springs". We have never stayed in this area and were really excited to try it out. We were very close to the main pool and the counter service for drink refills!
Here is the studio.

018-7.jpg

We were ground floor so this is standing on our patio....

019-6.jpg

Right after I took that picture it started pouring, so Baylor started watching the Disney girl on television, Shocker got online and I took a nap......

Up next: A new dining experience, and who do you think said, "this isn't the kind of food we eat"............!?!

I love the Turkey sandwich at SSR! In fact, it's one of the reasons we like staying there so much! My DH like the Buffalo chicken flatbread!

It's looking good so far, except for the rain!

:rotfl2: I am not nearly as observant as you, I didn't even notice the Hertz ad! That is soooo funny! I would like to take credit for staging that photo but alas that would be a fib....:lmao:
Well you all should know that I am indeed the official luggage schlepper when we get to the airport, no porters, no Shocker, no Baylor, just little ole me....

Ahem, it was not "the look" you gave the stewardess but the fact that she noticed my parched complexion from being at near dehydration.

I had pushed the beckoning button to get her attention as I was ready to pass out and block the aisle.....

Thanks for pointing that out dear, I had no clue that you had beckoned.....

If you are anything like MeMom, I'm sure she got lots of new fun toys!

Not so heavy on the toys but great clothes and accessories......

:scratchin Not sure how I missed this. So I am 2 days tardy to the teachers trip report. :guilty: But I am here now.

You do always get the leaners......

That sandwich was really good and the homemade chips were great too!

Love your studio and that view!!! Just gorgeous!!!

A nap sounds like a good idea after your early morning!

Isn't it amazing how different all of the Disney resorts really are? I just love the peek of the building in the distance....Saratoga is a very pretty resort!

We have always been content with a studio........but that has all changed.;)
That nap was just what I needed, I was a little thankful for that rain.......:goodvibes

Sounds like that one-bedroom at the Beach Club might have spoiled you! :goodvibes

Yay the TR has begun! WOO HOO!

SSR looks very nice, I really want to buy DVC. Maybe instead of wedding gifts last year I should have registered for DVC.
