A whole new World... UPDATED with Animal Kingdom Day

Hi,
I am new to your TR - I am also a Heart Mom. My daughter Andrea is 8 and we received rather bad news in November regarding her condition. Our cardiologist sat and told Andrea she would need a surgery while she tried fighting the tears. He also know she has anxiety issues, which him telling her this did not help at all. He is not our favorite doc, that being said we were also told the scary words heart transplant. We pray it doesn't come to that. She is currently on Enalapril, Digoxin and Carveldilol. He added the last two meds in the last six months.

Hope the Enalapril work for Lydia she is such a cutie. I loved the video, it sure brings back memories of Andrea in the hospital after birth and again at 8 mths old.

Hope you get good news soon - I will pray for Lydia and your family as I know it is hard to wait.:sad1:

Diane

Thank you so much, Diane! :)

I'm sorry that Andrea also had some bad news recently... I just hate that stuff! We're praying. Some moments I feel so hopeful and peaceful and others I'm just terrified...

I hope you guys have an awesome wish trip. :)

We are praying for you!!! :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

And I will add "peace" to my list for you and Lydia and family...

We had the prayer meeting on Sunday night for Lydia's heart and it was very, very good! About 50 people came and we cried together and prayed together. :) I had brought some scrapbooking pages and people wrote down prayers, Bibleverses and messages there. Here are some examples:

"Lydia, I see Jesus in your smile" Karissa, 14

"Jesus loves YOU, this I know, for the Bible tells me so" friends

"Every time I see you, I see a Rainbow. Beautiful and a definite promise!" Alyssa, 11

"Je t'aime" Nicole, 7

"Psalm 84:5-7" friends

What a beautiful loveletter from our churchfamily...

In some way we have a lot of peace. There are days (moments, rather) that the panic comes bubbling to the surface, but somehow we have joy still. Only with God is that possible. :)

Ok...you had not seen my post and you are addressing my exact prayer at the time I was posting. I have chills.

You guys are precious.

What incredible words. "I see Jesus in your smile."

Every time I see you, I see a rainbow. Aww...

and "I love you." What language is that? French? Remember that old Amy Grant song?

Man...what a precious service. I know He answers prayers...sometimes it makes no sense to us...but peace, He will always offer. And He listens to His children when we pray persistently.

Thank you for sharing Lydia with us. :)

Tell her that we are praying for her!!! Do you guys have a public CaringBridge site or blog we can follow?

So beautiful...it is so helpful to have such a wonderful support system behind you. It is so difficult to live in the moment...to leave the future in God's hands. We know all too well that feeling of panic that comes with all the unanswered questions and unknowns. Someday we really need to try and meet!

Awww... :) That is cool that God spoke to you about peace when that is waht we need the most right now. :goodvibes
Yes, it is French. She is from a French family, that little girl. She had told her parents (who were there) that she HAD to come and pray for Lydia. :lovestruc

Thank you so much for praying, Marro! We really notice that we are covered in prayer.

Yes, the unknown is so scary... But in some ways I think I'm happy I don't know everyting about the future. If I had known the road we had to travel I think I would've fled in panic, lol. ;) God is wise in giving us just the next section of the road. He gives us strength for the next leg of the journey.

We really do have to meet! Maybe I could convince the Gerbrandts to have us all over for supper sometime. :) We don't get to see them as often as we'd like either. I think I'll ask them next week as we're seeing them for our Easter gathering. :thumbsup2

Just checking in on you  Hoping all is well in Canada...

Still waiting on a blog about your gang... how about "Arnold Adventures" or "The Amazings Arnolds" ? :rotfl:

:goodvibes

Wow Linda! The prayers gave me chills! I continue to pray for Lydia, you and your family!! I hope all is well and Lydia is feeling good!!!

The scrapbook pages are a great idea. Glad to see you have a great support from your church family. I know what you mean about having peace, that was one of my specific prayer requests about my dd at our church prayer list. I find it hard at times to have peace about the future. My mind thinks of the worst case senario and then I have to remind myself that God has a plan and I can't change it and I must have faith and trust in God. Sounds like you belond to an awesome church, I church has been a great comfort an support for us. I continue to keep you and your family in our prayers.

We have to remember that God gives us what we can handle.

We have mostly really great news after our appointment this
afternoon. Lydia's lung pressures are down and it seems that the
medication is really doing a great job. :) She still has her other
issues but they're nothing that they're worried about right now. So
we're breathing a sigh of relief. Thank you to all who's been
praying and giving us support, we really appreciate it! :)

:cool1: Yipppeee for good news!!! Of course, I'll continue to pray for lydia's good health!
