7th November
Well, today was our 'Princess Day' which I had organised mainly for my youngest, Emilia. We had a booking at BBB at 9.50 for Jessica and Emilia. When I broke the news to Jessica that she was going to have a princess makeover, her reaction wasn't exactly positive.
She doesn't consider herself a girly-girl and had to be persuaded that it was a good idea. She refused to wear a princess dress and instead opted for her Minnie Mouse dress.
Emilia wa looking forward to having hair, nails and make-up done. We had brought her Sleeping Beauty dress with us as she loves that dress.
We headed off (in the car) to MK for our BBB booking, laden with dresses and shoes. I would not bother driving to MK again though as it took forever to get from the car park to the park.
BBB
On arrival, we were greeted and the girls were given their 'princess makeover' invitations. Both were quite excited. We were led to the changing rooms and that is when everything went wrong. Emilia saw all of the other little girls holding the plastic 'screens' to their faces to stop glitter getting in their eyes - and she totally freaked out. I was so mortified as she was screaming her head off.
Kev had to take her outside and she refused to have her makeover done, no amount of persuasion would change her mind. Jessica would have to go it alone!
Jessica was so thrilled with her makeover - I think the expression on her face says it all! She LOVED her hair and refused to take it out for several days - until her head got itchy (yuk). She even asked me if she could go and have it done again before we went home, so she could have it in for school. The BBB experience was lovely for Jess and the ladies there really get into the spirit of being fairy godmothers in training. Jess got a lot of attention from CM's that day.
We headed out of the Castle and stopped for a Tink photo
And after a little bit of persuasion, Emilia changed into her princess dress
The girls then posed for a sisterly moment:
We headed off to Epcot as we had a lunch ADR at Akershus - Princess overload alert!!
I love this pic.
Akershus
On arrival, we checked in and then had a short wait until we queued to meet Belle.
After being seated we went to help ourselves to the starter buffet. Kev was very happy as he is a big fan of cold meats and cheese. The main course for me was a mushroom ravioli, which was so delicious I had another helping!
The desserts were lovely
I enjoyed all of these sharing desserts, especially the one which was like rice pudding.
Before too long, the princesses did their rounds. It was a great way to see some of the favouries and not queue!
The girls had asked to do the Agent P quest, so after lunch we went to save Mexico.
This was a great way to spend an hour.
We spent the rest of the afternoon around Epcot and then headed back to MK. After a few more rides and a late dinner at Cosmic Ray's, we headed home.
