A Whole New WDWorld: A March PTR (NEW! 6/27 TR link!)

I am sitting here, looking at menus of the Disney restaurants and I am salivating over the Kouzzina menu. The food looks great and the wine flights look even better!

I might have to make an ADR for one evening there!

I have decided that I'm going to cancel our Crystal Palace ADR. When I thought more about it, I decided I would not like to have a 8:10 a.m. ADR to rush to the morning after we arrive. So, we'll have to wait until our next trip to experience a pre-opening Magic Kingdom. I'm a tiny bit sad about it, but it gives us something to look forward to on our next trip.

I decided on a new ADR at Kouzzina. I was looking at menus yesterday, (torturing myself with all the food I'm not eating since I'm trying to lose this baby weight once and for all), and the food at Kouzzina looks wonderful. I absolutely love Greek food. And Greek wine. Yum!

I went to WalMart and Target yesterday to look for Bibsters and disposable placemats. I found the Bibsters and they were on clearance. Score! I tried one last night at dinner and it was great. I don't know why I haven't tried these before! :confused3 I couldn't find t disposable placemats, but I'm sure I've seen them at Babies R Us, so I'll get some of those soon.

I am getting so very excited about this upcoming trip! Claire is at such a fun age right now. She loves EVERYTHING! Everything makes her smile and laugh. I can not wait to see her reaction to so many things at Disney World! :goodvibes

I stopped in at the Disney Store today on my way home from work (there's a Disney Store about 2 minutes from where I work) to look for some Disney clothes for Claire and to get a little Disney fix. It seems that they've done away with their baby clothing section. :scared1: They just had a couple different pajamas. I guess I'll have to check out Disney Shopping. Oh darn. ;) I did put some cash on a Disney gift card to use for my meals when at Disney World. It was cash that I got for Christmas and I needed to put it on that card to keep myself from spending it!

Pretty soon, I'm going to have to start addressing the problem of my trip wardrobe... I was pregnant all last spring, and had a lot of extra weight over the summer, so I don't even remember which clothing I have that will be size and weather appropriate for Disney World.

And now for another question: What are the best apps for Disney World? I have an iPhone and I know there are several Disney apps. So which ones are good? :confused3

You'll still be at Small World, though, won't you? You just better have that camera ready, because everything that you have always thought was magical is about to blow you away when you watch it with Claire.

We'll be there! I can handle 9 or 9:30, but 8:10 is just too early to have plans!

Oh, I can not wait to see Claire taking all of this in. I have a feeling that my DH is going to be very sad about missing it!

Hi!!!! I'm in! I <3 <3 <3 PTR's!!!! I'm planning my PTR right now too! Claire is adorable! My younger brother is 13 now but When we went when he was a baby I helped my mom pack an entire suitcase with just diapers and wipes and then another whole suitcase with just baby food and other necessities! As for the Car Seat, I wouldn't bring it. Unless you have a seat for Claire on the plane, you don't need it! I would bring an Umbrella stroller though!

I have a bunch of Disney apps on my iphone... I think "Lines" is my favorite. It has both wait times & fast pass return times but I think you have to have a touringplans.com membership to access all of the features. I also have the WDW Dining app that has all the menus, which is handy for looking up CS options without walking all over a park. I just bought the WDW countdown app - it's a fun way to countdown. I've been posting a countdown picture each day on the Spectrum Moms report if you want to see what it looks like. It's fun to change the backgrounds. For DISing - I use eTicket but it was expensive for an app and I'm disappointed in most of the features. It has so much information that it's kind of slow & hard to navigate but good for the DISboards... maybe I just haven't used it enough??

Sorry to hear you won't be at Crystal Palace with us...

Hi! Welcome to my PTR!

I was just thinking today about what stroller to bring with us...

AMY!!!! I completely forgot that you were going to be at CP also! Darn it! :scared1: And I already canceled that ADR! That would have been enough motivation to get there by 8:10. We still have Small World!

I'm going to check out all those apps. They sound great! Thank you! I especially like the dining one!

Yeay! I am so glad you are going to try Kouzzina!

Yes, you must get Claire some Disney clothing for the trip. Have you tried Walmart yet? We were there last night looking for some shorts for Chelsea for gym, and they had a lot of cute Disney clothes in the baby section.

Oh I hope you enjoy Kouzzina, I'm debating on making an ADR there when I'm staying at BW!! The menu does look delightful doesn't it!!!

I second Jackie's suggestion of Wally World, just the other day I was scoping the infant/toddler section for my niece and they had a ton of Disney items, so cute!!!!

I can't WAIT to get home tonight and look at all those apps! I don't have an iPhone but I have an iPod Touch so I can still use them at home / in wifi areas!
Thanks DisMomAmy!!!

Julie - I have been stocking up on clothes for Toby for our trip next year! He has 2 x Toy Story tee-shirts, 2 x Mickey Mouse tee-shirts a Mickey cap and I think I got him a Donald Duck top too! They have been tucked safely away in the big suitcase which we will take with us so I don't lose them!
For my birthday when we're there, we're going to DHS so I've got Toby and my niece and nephew matching Woody tees!
For my Mum's birthday - the big one! We are all wearing tees that have Winnie the Pooh on - Mum's favourite and it will say "My Grandma / My Mum etc... is 60!!!"

Sorry to keep gushing about my trip - I am excited!

Oh, thanks! I'll try WalMart. Claire needs to have at least a couple items of Disney clothing to bring with us. The rest, we can buy when we're there!

Yes, that menu looks positively delightful! I can't wait to eat there! Funny how excited one can get over food, huh?! If you do eat there, please let me know how it is!

I'm going to try WalMart this weekend. Thanks!

Please keep gushing about your trip! I love hearing about it and I'm excited for you!

Toby is going to be so cute in all of his Disney clothes. And I LOVE the idea of all the shirts for you Mum's birthday! Can't wait to see the photos from that!
:goodvibes

I was really disappointed with the selection of baby clothes at the Disney Store, too. Every time I look, they have less and less.

I think canceling the Crystal Palace ADR is a good move. I would find it stressful to try and make it to an early ADR on the first morning, while we are still figuring out the morning routine.

It makes me sad that I can't get baby clothes at the Disney Store. :(
They did, however, have a super cute Minnie Mouse costume/dress that was 12 month size and it was so hard to leave it in the store!

The more I thought about that ADR, the more I thought it was pressure we did not need!

Normally, my must-do list for a Disney trip is quite large. So large, in fact, that I have never actually completed my must-do list. Perhaps I always leave some things for next time?

For this trip, I am going to keep my must-do list very short. I want to keep my planning to a minimum so that we can let Claire's schedule determine our schedule.

So, here it is, the must-do list:

1. Get a photo of Claire with Mickey. No explanation needed!

2. Eat a meal from Earl of Sandwich. In all of my seven trips to Disney World, I have not been to Earl of Sandwich. This will change in March. I don't know how I will ever decide on which sandwich to get...they all look so delicious!

3. Take the boat from POR to DTD. Because I am always so commando when I'm at Disney World, I don't like to use the boat transportation because it seems to take too long. Because we'll have a slower pace on this trip, I plan to make good use of that DTD boat!

4. See the Finding Nemo show at Animal Kingdom. This is something that has been on my must-do list 3 times, but I have never actually done it! I hope Claire likes it!

5. Do Hall of Presidents. This has been on my must-do list for every trip that I have made a must-do list for. Can you believe I have never done Hall of Presidents? This, too, will change in March.

So that's my short and sweet must-do list. I'm really trying to keep my plans and expectations to a minimum and go with the flow. Which is really hard for me to do, by the way!

In other news, my weight loss goal is going well so far. I was hoping to lose 15 pounds in time for this Disney trip, and I've already lost 4! And I still have a month and a half till the trip! I can do it! I will be so happy to be rid of all this baby weight that I've been dragging around with me.

I went to Babies R Us today and I found the disposable placemats. They look great and they were buy one, get one half off. Score! So now there is a package of them in my diaper bag and one in the Disney supplies bag.

Claire is 9 months old today. It is so much fun to see her grow and change every day, but I just wish I could stop time right now. This is, by far, my favorite age thus far. Just today, while I was cooking dinner, Claire was pulling the placemats out of a drawer, one by one, and saying "uh oh" as she dropped each one on the floor. Just plain cute!

That is a great must do list and I have no doubt you will get everything done on the list!!!!

The boat to DTD from POR is wonderful! I have ridden it many times and I love it!! So relaxing!!

Can't wait to see Claire and Mickey's first pic!

That's a great update post and a FAB must-do list!

When we stayed at POR in 2004, we LOVED going on the boat to DTD - it was just so relaxing and lovely seeing so many different things along the way - far less stressful than waiting for a bus! Oh and I remember seeing the "old" tree-houses and you will get to see the "new" tree-houses! :goodvibes

EOS is yummy - by far one of my favourites in Disney! I really enjoyed the tomato soup last time we went. I was 16-weeks pregnant and seemed to have morning sickness for most of the day unless I ate small meals regularly. I remember eating lots of the tomato soup as it was the one thing that settled my stomach well!!! :rotfl:

Happy 9 Months Claire!!! Don't you grow up too fast!

Happy Nine Months to Claire!!! :goodvibes Just wait until she reaches the toddler stage where she is talking and walking! That was my absolute favorite!

Awesome must-do list -- I like that you are keeping it short! Don't forget to get Claire a First Visit pin -- even if she doesn't wear it, it will look great in the baby book! :thumbsup2

You will be able to combine your Earl of Sandwich jaunt with your boat trip -- take the boat to DTD and eat there. Perfect!

That sounds like a perfect to do list. Earl of Sandwich is so good that we ate there twice in October and have plans to go back twice in June. I have never seen the Finding Nemo show either, it never worked out with nap time for us so maybe this time. I haven't been to Hall of Presidents in years and hope to do it in June as well even though I know my mother in law won't do it with us.

I am going to have to go and stock on up the disposable place mats tonight, I hope they are on sale at our Babies R Us.
